Those DVD and other intros...

How do you feel about the intros to DVDs and if BluRay has them, I don't know, but...

How about, just put in a disc, turn on the device and a episode selection opens up, simple. Instead of that there's animation of different things depending on the series.
Those intros are fun 1 or 2 times, maybe 5 times max, but after watching the series for years on the same discs, I would be nice to skip them.

Not a massive problem or a waste of time, I just wanted to say it.

Yes. It would be nice if they all just went straight to the menu, or if it was easy to skip past the animated part.

I once did a computer programming project, and I decided to put in an animated introduction just to be fancy and clever. A more senior colleague kindly suggested that I remove it, because all the users would immediately be asking how to turn it off.

The Trek DVD menus are ridonkulous. If I'm watching episodes consecutively from the same DVD, I always start the next one before turning it off. Barring a power outage, my player will just pick up where I left off rather than make me go through the menu sequence from scratch.
