THOR: What was the story like? What about the villain?

hi all, i've been wanting to watch Thor for a while, but i have a feeling the villain will just be loki or some other mystical being. it'd be great if he fought a mortal or someone like spiderman who had non-mystical abilities.

The apparently godlike abilities of Thor, Loki, Odin, Heimdall and so on are explained as being the products of advanced technology. I think you'll like the film based on what I've gathered are your preferences from your other threads. I think the detail and grandeur of the film do suffer a bit when viewed on a small rather than a large screen. The movie is less than two hours long - rent it and tell us what you think.

Also the movie is part of the Marvel Studios universe-So if you've seen Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk and Captain America it's connected to those films. (The X-men and Spider-Man films however remain FOX and Sony's).
