Personally, I think that would be neat, but I really doubt it. Heck, the comics never bothered to use them until Walt Simonson was doing the book.

Iron Man 2 hits DVD/BR on 9/28. The No hints as to what that new footage may be, or how much of it there is rumor was that the comic con footage would be included. Word from comicbookmovie is that is now doubtful. However...
Well, that seems doubtful. But it will have quite a few Cap and Thor related goodies including some new footage from Kenneth Branagh's film. No hints as to what that new footage may be, or how much of it there is ....

What do you guys think? Are we getting new footage or not? Could it be that Marvel's PR team considers any footage from Comic Con as "new to masses"?

Comicbookmovie is not to be trusted in my opinion...so many faux reports in the past. Originally it was reported that we'd be getting both the comic con "Thor" and "Captain America" footage that was shown at comic con but who knows now. It's possible we could get completely new footage.

SuperHeroHype reports there's a behind the scenes of filming the hammer scene from IM2 and some new footage.

Jaime Alexander gets in a few comments about her role as Sif.

Q: We saw a bit of you in action during the Comic Con footage, what would you say is Sif's weapon of choice in the film, and how was it like being in that armor day in and day out?

A: Well, she has three [different weapons], but I can't tell you what they are just yet. The armor was rough to wear sometimes but very beautiful. I've never seen costumes so elaborate in detail.. So incredible. Definitely as tough as in the comics, but there's also a softer side to her.

Q: How would you categorize her relationship with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in the film?

A: She is very loyal to Thor and cares a lot about protecting him and protecting Asgard.. As for a possible love relationship you'll just have to wait and see the movie. My lips are sealed!

Q: If you had only three words to describe the film version of Sif, which would you use?

A: Hmm.. Stoic, intense, powerful.

Looking forward to seeing more about Sif. Obviously Jane Foster/Natalie Portman is the lead female and marquee name but Sif if very important in the Thor mythos and I hope she isn't totally relegated to glorified support role.

Stan Lee and JMS both try to lift the hammer of Thor. Their cameos in the film.
The role involves a man driving down the road. He see Thor’s hammer land and goes to check it, trying to pull it from the earth. When he can’t lift it, he calls his buddies and gets them all to come help him try to wench it out, similar to what happened at the start of Straczynski’s “Thor” run.

The Army attempting to remove Thor's hammer but can’t. And eventually they decide to bring in a truck to help, where they tie Thor’s hammer to the back of the truck with chains hoping to pull it out. The truck driver accelerates to pull the Hammer. The back half of the truck falls apart from the front and the front keeps going. Finally, there’s a focus on the driver revealing to be Comic Legion Stan Lee.

Hoping for an official, non comic con teaser, teaser trailer over the Holiday film releases.

^^ You might want to put a spoiler tag around that description.

Re: THOR-starts shooting Jan2010: Updates, Rumors & Casting till relea

Looks like our international friends will, like Iron Man 1 & 2, get to see Thor about a week earlier than the North American release.

United States - May 6
Australia - April 28
New Zealand - April 28
Brazil - April 29
Germany - April 28
Ireland - April 29
Spain - April 28
United Kingdom - April 29

A full schedule is attached. I just pulled out some I thought were most relevant at a glance for board members. I don't know that we have anyone in Egypt but they get it the earliest.

Egypt - April 27

The first official theatrical trailer is attached to Narnia 3: Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
According to the description, the trailer is an abbreviated version of what was shown at Comic-Con earlier this year, complete with Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) interrogating Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and fun times with frost giants.
Not surprising that footage would resurface. It was afterall about 5min worth of footage. It also told a fairly smooth narative to which the faithful responded well.

Makes sense they'd want to attemp to duplicate that for the masses on some scale. Coulson questioning Thor is a cool way to set the stage and tie it into the hammer at the end of IM2 which most saw just 6 months ago.
