Thor 2 -Movie Discussion, News, Interviews, Pics till release 2013

I think by the time Avengers 2 hits we'll get a goldilocks comment.

There was already a Loreal joke from when Thor landed on the quinjet

If you look at the ground in front of Thor, it does look like there is a strong light shining down on it.

Another pointless internet debate derailed by the intervention of reality.

I'm sorry I didn't plan on getting into the debate. I just didn't see these particular photos posted from the collider.com website.

Forgot to write that that down.

People are spoiling themselves again, and will later complain again how there were no surprises. Happened with The Dark Knight Rises, will happen with this one as well.

Chris Evans was recently discussing the Avengers deleted scenes and how the themes they covered would be dealt with in CA:TWS, but the most interesting tid-bit to me was the possibility of a cameo in Thor: The Dark World.

In other exciting news, Evans said there’s a chance he could have a cameo in Thor: The Dark World. We already saw Samuel L. Jackson in Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. in The Incredible Hulk, Jeremy Renner in Thor and Scarlett Johansson in Iron Man 2, so why not continue the trend with more crossovers after The Avengers? Evans and Chris Hemsworth apparently had the same idea, and decided it could be fun to do one prior to Captain America: The Winter Soldier hitting theaters.

“I would love to do a little thing in Thor 2,” Evans said. “It is obviously going to be tricky trying to work out the plot, the reason why I am not there to help him, and why he is not there to help me. But the best thing about Marvel is that, like I said, the movies were so good and we had such a good time making them."

Co-star Jaime Alexander has been injured on the set of Thor Dark World.
Alexander tweeted, "Today I sustained a pretty horrible injury. I'm lucky I'm not paralyzed. Thank you (with all of my heart) to those who've looked after me."
...
She later tweeted: "Already in recovery mode and my spirits are high. I'll be back kicking ass as Lady Sif in no time! It can only get better from here on out!" "Received great news today! Meds are kicking in. Awesome funny nurses here at the hospital. Physio tomorrow. All good."... "Alexander slipped as she was walking on the set while it was raining, according to her publicist Craig Schneider, who wouldn't reveal the exact nature of her injury. He noted that her injury is not, by any means, putting a halt on the production of Thor, and noted that it 'worked out' since the film was forced to work around the rain anyway, and that they were able to shift the shooting schedule to accommodate Alexander's recovery."

First RDJ now Jaime Alexander injured on set, not liking this trend.

How can someone have a horrible injury by just slipping in the rain? There is definitely something they aren't telling us. Glad it wasn't too bad at least.

A lot of people died from slipping. It's just a matter where your head and neck lands and breaks. In the kitchen, on the street, on the ice. Ten years ago, a guy died in my local ice skating rink, just because his head met the ice with a bit of speed.

We might be seeing all nine realms in the movie.

"The film promises to cover not just the Earth and Asgard," reads the loose translation of a report from a Russian Cinema Expo, "but the entire Nine Realms. The studio hopes that 'Game of Thrones' director Alan Taylor has the experience to build upon the fantasy of the series."
SuperHeroHype

Even if some just get a brief glimpse, that would be awesome. :techman: Let's just hope this report is accurate.

I dislocated my knee slipping on a wet kitchen floor. I don't recommend it.
Do we know if they're still doing all of those big battle scenes? After I read that all I could think of was her on horseback filming the battle scenes, and what happened to Chrisopher Reeve.
Edit: Never mind. I missed the bit where it said she slipped in the rain. They also said that this will have not effect on the movie.

And we have a synopsis...

Marvel's "Thor: The Dark World" continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel's "Thor" and "Marvel's The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Surtur. Has to be. And if they are borrowing from Walt Simonson's run (and the inclusion of Maleketh and Kurse would seem to indicate that), then so much the better.

Yeah, this definitely seems to be building up towards Surtur for Thor 3, which should be really cool.

I think it's an OK design, although it is a little generic fantasy baddie IMO.
