This year's first snow....

Canadave, I have a friend in Connecticut who argues with me whenever I express my longing for snow. He hates it because (like yourself) he gets much more of it than he wants. While that picture makes me feel sympathetic, it also makes me want to jump into one of those glorious white mountains of snow, BEAUTIFUL WHITE SNOW! :adore: :adore: :adore:

there hasn't really been any snow here yet . . . usually we have a couple inches on the ground by this time of year

I live in Syracuse which might as well be called Snowracuse :D

Yeah, I think Syracuse beat Buffalo for total snow fall last year. I think you guys got 100 inches or so, while we were still in the mid nineties.

Our first snow fall was last week. Got about 2 inches, and it was gone by the afternoon. I'd like to get some snow soon. Although it makes it harder to go outside for some target practice, and it's a bitch to clear off the driveway, it does mak for awfully romantic walks...nothing like walking in a light snowfall...:adore:

It's snowing here right now! We've gotten about and inch and we'll have about two by the time it lets up sometime this morning.

Wow I feel envious of snow people even if they are living in a blizzard. California boy. I have only seen snow once in my life and that was ten years ago. I have never had snow fall on me either. My sister was in New York a few years ago and had snow fall on her for the first time. My brother-in-law said she was like a school girl. I may go back up to the mountains this winter so maybe...

I checked out the weather channel a few minutes ago before I turn in for the evening. The forecast is light snow tomorrow of about 3-5cm (about 1-2in.) and perhaps a few more centimeters during the week. The temperature forecast is supposed to hover around 0 or 1 celsius (about 32F or so) throughout the week so it could conceivably stay white for a bit. We'll see.

I have to buy a new set of lights for the Christmas tree after work tomorrow so a little snow on the ground could help put me in the mood.

And winter is here with a vengance now. Been snowing all day.

The weather network is saying that Ontario's first snow storm of the season will hit Tuesday night.

They're forecasting less than 1cm as we move into evening, nothing for tomorrow then Wednesday will see approx 15cm snow and 15mm rain.

fun weather.

DC got the first snow of the season on Sunday. There's still a bit of it on the ground, but it's melting fast.

So is it a wintery mix or not? I do know that I was glad I got gloves and a hat for the season on Friday.

I don't even necessarily mind the snow itself. I mind the fact that people suddenly become retarded when it starts to snow, especially on the roads. Seriously, people, you live in Chicago. It snows every year. Figure it out!
