This Video Shows Trfek Costumes

First, I wish to post this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnQcExGaEvk

The video is the video from Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Were Made For Walking"

I was watching the song today for the first time in a long time. I admit, i like the song and she isn't all that bad looking of a woman.

Then as I started paying attention, i started looking at the pretty women dancers behind her.

Then I noticed the girl in the red dress.

And i noticed just how similar that red dress is to Uhura's uniform.

And then it occurred to me, that since this video is from 1966, it does go to some extent to illustrate the styles that were popular in the 1960s and how they influenced the styles on the original series. The dancing girls behind Sinatra have dresses that are not too far off from the mini skirts you see crewmen like Uhura wearing.

Especially the red dress woman.

Go ahead and watch the video and see if you can't see what I see.

And enjoy the song if you will.

Are they even dresses? They look as if they are just jumpers...in every way: the neckline, the fabric and the length..

Wow, the US is quite prude now compared to that video.

Those looked like t-shirts, if it could even be counted as a dress.

I guess you haven't seen any modern music videos then. Don't really compare a music video from 1966 with what people were wearing on the street back then, unless you think Miley walks around nude.

Ah, forgot those modern music videos. Thanks for the reminder.
Since the 1990s I ignore them mostly, as they have lost something to stupidity.

Music videos as we currently know them weren't really a big thing in 1966, that is most likely a television appearance, if even that. We can't even be sure it's actually from 1966, the year the song came out. Another problem is they credit the track to Rhino Records, which wasn't founded until 1978. The video might be a promo specially made for the Rhino album.

Wiki tells me it was promotional clip from 1966, which was what videos were called in the 60s.

Looks like the dancers are wearing sweaters/jumpers over the type of dance apparel often used in the 60s. They lose the sweaters in the latter part of the video.
