This is driving me nuts...

I can't seem to find what episode it is that I'm looking for. I remember that Picard left the ship in a shuttle craft, thinking some sort of entity (?) was after him, and the ship is destroyed with all the crew aboard. It isn't Time Squared, every time I look for this description "Time Squared" pops up. I'm starting to think I imagined the episode or something, lol.

Does anyone know what this episode is?

I didn't think it was Time Squared cause I downloaded it and it didn't show the things I remembered from the episode. So, I don't know. Maybe I'm just merging two episodes together in my head thinking its one episode. Thanks for the responses.

Ok, In Time Squared Picard is on a shutter, and the ship blows up.

in "Final Mission" Picard is on a shuttle, it crashes, and him and wesley have to figure out how to defeat a entity.

Picard leaving the Enterprise in a shuttle and then the ship is destroyed killing all the crew? It is Time Squared.

Time Squared...on the bridge he surmises the force at work is an intelligence. He wants to leave the ship on a shuttle to save the Enterprise.

Time Squared is the only episode I can think of that matches that description. Now there have been plenty "I have to get off this ship" moments, "Transfigurations" "Identity Crisis" Come to mind. Picard wasn't the one trying to leave the ship in those though.

"Genesis" has Picard and Data leaving in a shuttle and coming back and everyone is mutated.

"Cause and Effect" has the really dramatic shot of the Enterprise blowing up.

edit:
Just remembered another one- "Timescape" has Picard, Troi, Data, and LaForge returning in a shuttle to find the Enterprise about to blow up.

In "Time Squared" the alternate Picard had left the ship via shuttle, and we hear audio recording of the Enterprise being destroyed. Alternate Picard is recovered in the shuttle, but no Picard is seen leaving the Enterprise (photo above is as far as he got the second time)

In "Timescape" Picard sees the Enterprise explode with all aboard while he is alone on a Runabout. He was on the Runabout returning from a conference, however, and was not compelled to leave the ship during the episode.

I'm pretty sure the only time Picard has abandoned ship, with all hands aboard subsequently being destroyed, was Time Squared

I have never really understood the concept behind Time Squared.

Yeah, to this day it confuses me. How exactly did Picard from the future know 'the other option' when the Picard in the current timeline doesn't? And what's the point of going forward through the tunnel? How did the future Picard figure that out? Why does that solve the problem?

Like a wave. if you head straight into it, you kinda slice through it, but if your turn your boat, you rock to the side and are at risk of capsizing.
