This guy is my hero

Wow. But he went to all that trouble and forgot to paint the banding around the edge of the saucer?

Also, doesn't this belong in a different forum?

There was a bit of discussion about this model a year and a half ago over in Fan Art (the forum Maurice would probably prefer).

It's absolutely gorgeous and I love the way Jason disguised the assembly bolts. I'm also impressed by his rec deck, which fits the set to the curve in the hull. My only complaint is the work on the primary hull. Not only does it lack the texturing around the perimeter, but I think the slope is off a bit. Other than that, it's gorgeous.

Jason's other work with astrophotography is similarly impressive.

I have to tip my hat to that fan, simply outstanding, unmatched work (that I'm aware of). I wish I had that eye to details and the skill he has. I thank him for making it, such that we are all able to marvel at it.

Indeed! Incredible amount of work and dedication! I don't usually get excited about people who build models, but this one is definitely worth praise! :techman:
