Things You'd Like to See in a Future TOS Reboot

Since at this point "Pandora's Box" has been opened in terms of TOS, I think it's pretty clear we'll see the characters continue to be recast down the road like Batman or something. What are things you'd like to see in new incarnations of the characters in the future?

For me-
Keep it a little closer to the aesthetic of the old show. I know certain things are dated and have to change (having "circuits" and stuff) but I'd like to see it a touch more retro, at least with a more colorful color scheme like on TOS. I do like the JJverse bridge fine, though.

More parallels to TOS episodes. A lot of TOS shows could conceivably be movies, they could give Khan another go, do a Journey to Babel type thing, an espionage type thing with Romulans a la The Enterprise Incident, and so on. Those are the "classic essentials" of the TOS universe so I don't see anything wrong with revisiting them.

Focus on the Kirk/Spock/Bones triad that it at the heart of Star Trek, and give the other crew room to shine in individual moments, the way they did in ST 09 and in most the TOS movies. I don't want it all about Kirk as an action hero or for Bones to get squeezed out. Also wouldn't mind seeing characters like Janice Rand or Nurse Chapel be added to the regular supporting cast.

I already quite enjoy the current reboot, but if I must speculate about a new one (and these are what I'd like, not what I'd expect, as per OP question):
  • No connection to previous "timelines".
  • One of the four following to get a NuBSG "Starbuck" treatment--Chekov, Sulu, McCoy or Scotty.
  • One additional (female) regular.
  • One LGBTQIA character.
  • John M. Ford Final Reflection style Klingons
  • No more "bowl cut" Romulans or Vulcans (well, no more as a default)
  • No uni-climate class M planets (ok for lifeless rocks or gas giants, otherwise, have a bit of variety)
  • No pre-conceived limits/specs to tech (transporters, warp engines, weapons, etc.--each can do whatever the writers want).
  • Somewhat serialized, with occasional stand-alone stories (if TV--Like Person of Interest in first 3 seasons)
  • A planned 3-4 film arc (if movies)
  • HBO/Showtime/Netflix type of environment--more for non-broadcast TV restrictions than necessarily binge watching. I don't want "soft-porn" or Deadwood style expletives, but room to organically include things prudish broadcast TV won't allow.
  • More alien crew (and not just "forehead of the week" aliens).
  • No "origin" show/season/movie. Just use judicious flashbacks as necessary.
  • The ship's mixed species crew as an "experiment" (rest of Starfleet composed of affiliated planetary ships--show a less homogenized Federation/Starfleet where working together takes effort).
That's all I've got at the moment.

I'd like to see this Box closed and instead have new shows with new ideas and new characters done by good writers

A Ghostbusters-style gender swap.

I'm only half-joking.
It could work with a completely new story. Ok no it couldn't. The internet would have disliked the trailer into oblivion before the upload is complete.

If it's a poorly written soulless cash grab with an anti-male agenda, then hopefully it will be disliked into oblivion
