Please explain
Did they have Spell Check back then? I pretty much never used it, so I don't know when it came along.I cannot believe no one ever fixed that. I remember on the original air of "Rules Of Acquisition", acquisition was misspelled, and they fixed that!

Exactly. It was decent, but no top season. As it was, I saw DS9 then as a spin-off to TNG but not so much more.
Their shooting schedule was crazy, no one shoots high budget densely written serious TV like TNG anymore and certainly not 23, 24 episodes a yearThey did. Also, the number of eyes that were on that, and no one caught it! When I worked in TV, I was part of the approvals chain for credits & titles, so I have dealt with what an intense process it is, and it just baffles me that something like that could get all the way through.
My biggest problem then was that the channel I had which aired DS9 did stop airing it after one season (TNG and VOY) were on other channels. Therefore I never got the chance to see it back then and discover how the whole series became better and better.Exactly.
There was no hook to draw me in.

Better give "Crossover" a rewatch. Mirror Sisko was very much alive in that one.Since Mirror Sisko died before we saw the Mirror Universe, it's hard to say for sure. But I think it's more likely that Mirror Sisko saw that the Intendent could help him a lot, and buttering her up would be a good investment.
How bad season 1 was.
I was so happy there were more Trek shows coming and several standout episodes were SO good, I kind of gave it pass.
In retrospect, it's the worst franchise first season ever...Yes, worse than TNG!
