Things that frustrate us all

Will the so-called Queen finally be entombed today and get the fuck off my news screen. We fight two wars to git rid of the basturds, then two and a few together but I'm really kinda gettin over this Special Relationship Thang, if ya know what I mean.

There is Shit flying all over place and that bitch is the center of all Attention? How quaint.
I missed this remark before. Even if it weren't about someone who had just died, pejoratively referring to a woman as "that bitch" (in a non Lizzo talking about herself / taking it back way) is completely unacceptable.

Coming off your warning last month over your comments about tattoos "trashing up" a woman's body after a poster shared her tattoos, and in the process being rude and disrespectful when people were discussing another woman who had just passed (Nichelle Nichols), this is beginning to look like a disturbing pattern forming for you. I suggest you stop it, now.

Warning for trolling. Comments to PM.

Old age sucks ASS.

I got my eyes tested today, it's been a year and a half, almost two years since my last exam. Holy CRAP, my vision got worse, especially in my left eye. I could tell. I've been finding that even my progessives weren't cutting it and my reading glasses--used mostly for work (8 hours staring at the computer)--were barely enough. I was also getting eye strain and my left eye developed this annoying twitch. No one could see it but I could feel it and it was annoying as hell.

Now I need to go get new glasses. *sigh*

Getting old blows.

Almost 2 years isn't bad. I've had glasses since I was 7 and my prescription changes every year. But when I got progressives, I definitely noticed a difference in how my eyes do (or don't) adjust to various distances now.

*HUGS* and *hot tea*

Sorry to hear that. :( Hopefully it's a mild case and you recover quickly with no lingering symptoms.
Thanks, I'm feeling a little better today, and my fever is down to 99º, so things seem to be headed in the right direction.
I found out today that I'm supposed to take a leave of absence from work since I have COVID, but it only covers 5 days, which will be Friday, and I'm not even supposed to get the information to finish setting it up for 2-3 days. Which means, with the way things are going, I'll probably already be back at work by the time I get the stuff to set up the leave.

Feeling better tonight overall, but now the uncontrollable coughing is starting. These last couple hours have been the worst part of it so far, I'm actually coughing so bad my face is tingling and I'm getting dizzy.

Have you tried Mucinex? I've taken it a couple of times and found it very effective for controlling constant coughing.

would it have fucking killed them to have ELECTRICAL OUTLETS in Baltimore Penn Station? :brickwall:

Actually I now understand why they have that extremely creepy statue out fromt: to distract passengers from how much the station sucks ass.

edit: I’m in Philly for all of five minutes and am promptly SHAT on by a bird. :sigh:

Some groceries I ordered online arrived today, and a couple items have a best before date of... tomorrow.

Generally I've good luck with this kind of thing, but it is one of the major downsides to ordering food online.

Trying to deal with this COVID leave crap for work is really making me wish, I hadn't asked my mom to tell them I had it when she went shopping and had just called in for the couple of days I missed.
And having COVID is really making wish I hadn't gone back there at all. It was the only place I went in the 5 days before I got sick, so it's the only place I could have gotten it.

Yeah, I'm very picky about what I buy, so letting someone else pick stuff for me, without my input, would really bug me.

Also coming soon to your center, if it hasn't already, best, closest (besides handicapped) and even covered parking spots for anyone using the curbside pickup shopping option.

Just what we didn't need, more elitist divisions. I do my own work shopping but I am now a 3rd class shopper.

Most of the ones here are off to the side or somewhere where they're out of the way.

When it comes to parking at supermarkets it's amazing I find how many people parking in disabled spots must have left their blue badges at home, or those parking in parent and child bays must have hidden their kids in the boot
