Things that frustrate us all

Car was driving less than 20 down a main street. Got to the point where multiple cars behind it all caught up to it and formed a line. Was the person looking for an address? A parking spot? Apparently neither because this went on for quite a distance. Then the person finally speeds up, but only for a few seconds. Then starts driving slowly again! Was this person on the phone? Was an old person driving?
What bugs the hell out of me are drivers who slow to about 2 miles per hour for dips in the road. You're not carrying nitroglycerin in that thing, for Christ's sake.

There is Shit flying all over place and that bitch is the center of all Attention?

Dude. Like, seriously?!?

What the :censored: kind of hotel bartender doesn’t know how to make a gin and tonic?

An alien one, obvs. Since 85% of planets in our galaxy have a drink that follows that same phonetic theme, but each one is different from the others, they just didn't know which one you were referring to! ;)

Thanks, it's not looking good right now, I just checked my temp again and it's up to 101.8.

Best wishes @JD. Hopefully it's not COVID, and you're feeling better soon.

Right now, what's frustrating is that there are masses of people thinking COVID is over. Our own (US) government telling us it seems fine and that no one appears to be masking (I'm masking), and it's infuriating. The lack of empathy towards one another, as a society, the sudden loss of understand how hygiene works to far too many, it's too much.

Please wear your masks. It's not over, and there are millions of vulnerable people out there who need us to consider them.

It will never be over. The SARS-CoV-2 virus and its variants will always be with us. At best, the disease will eventually become endemic.

Here in Los Angeles, masking is no longer required in most public venues except for medical offices and hospitals. However, I still see a lot of people wearing masks.

Well, yeah, lots of people are still wearing masks. I was referring to an interview on "60 Minutes" with Biden where he said that the pandemic was over, and no one was wearing masks anymore. Of course, I live in an area where masks are for "woke" people, and taking precautions is "living in fear," so my perspective is skewed, on the ground, but I know millions still are wearing them, and it's been beyond frustrating to see businesses, schools, and other public places having such relaxed standards, allowing the virus to mutate and thrive in a Petri dish of every walk of life, and that's why the virus will become endemic for the United States. It could have been prevented.

But you don't really wanna see this on the CHP Traffic Incident Page:

It was just traffic cones scattered among several lanes of the freeway.

An excellent film, but I still prefer the original.

Thanks, and it turns out it is COVID. I tried the second test my mom got, and this one came back positive.
It's actually kind of impressive in way, I managed to avoid it all this time, and I go back to work, and get it in four days.

Sorry to hear that. :( Hopefully it's a mild case and you recover quickly with no lingering symptoms.

One would think that they would at least have a cocktail mixing guidebook behind the bar that they could consult in the event that the customer orders something they don't know how to make.

Or possibly... immediate access to all the world's knowledge through a small device that fits in their hand?

You Will Need
- 3 ounces (1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons) gin
- 1/2 ounce (1 tablespoon) fresh lime juice
- 4 ounces (1/2 cup) tonic water
- Lime wedge or slice
- Ice

Directions

Fill a high ball glass with ice. Add gin and lime juice. Then top with tonic water. Garnish with lime wedge or slice.

About 5 seconds, and most of that was typing the search query.

In the UK I feel inexperience in the bar/restaurant industry is very common.

Waiters are a good example, young kids sent out with what seems minimal training to take food orders. And often unable to answer basic questions about the dishes on offer.

100% the fault of those sending them out, they should be able to answer things like what does x dish come with or does it contain Y. Of course wouldn't expect them to know full ingredients but the key ones surely.

And at very least when bringing menus inform you what is not available or sold out today.

Since when has "Great" Britain been known for Fine cuisine? Pass the fish n' chips and vinegar Winston. ;)

Oh crap, I just grabbed the wrong salad fork.
