Things that frustrate us all

Still waiting for the fridge to be repaired, and the floor guy was supposed to show today or tomorrow. I guess it's going to be tomorrow, because it's nearly 1pm and no one has shown up.

We went out and bought a little 10 cubic foot fridge last weekend and it's now sitting right next to the big fridge--which is now empty and unplugged. If we ever get the new fridge fixed, we can put the little one in the back of the garage.

What a pain in the rear.

For me, I know I bitched about driving earlier but today was just full on insanity. Cars and trucks swerving in and out of traffic, 25+ over the speed limit, and not a single fuck given. I was surprised there were not any accidents.

Blasted skipping heartbeats. Potassium helps…but no insurance for ablation.
Trying to sleep is nuts

Yikes! Take care of yourself, dude.

Me: more of the same. We may not get our refrigerator fixed for another month. A brand new fridge in a brand new house. It's sitting, unplugged and cleaned out, in our kitchen. Our little 10 cubic foot fridge is sitting right next to it, jammed packed and running fine. Thank God we bought that little thing.

After months of waiting on the tile guy, he came over last week and said he would be here last Thursday or Friday--was very apologetic and said he could see all the defects in the grout and would be sure to fix it. He never came back. DR Horton rep said there was a problem with the P.O. I don't really fucking care what story there is--I waited for two days--after waiting 6 weeks--and still no one showed, or called, or anything. Hubby had to call and then text the DR Horton guy directly, only to be told we'd have to wait even longer.

The only good news is hubby put handles on all the kitchen cabinets last night. They look pretty good.

Could you be a candidate for a pacemaker? I had one put in about three years ago, not long after my heart valve replacement surgery. I wore a cardiac monitor patch for a couple of weeks, and the readings showed that my heart was actually stopping occasionally for two or three seconds. Not good. I have a pacemaker now and everything's cool.

I was talking with one of my neighbors the other day who is a short haul truck driver here in Washington.

As it has been reported, there is a shortage of truck drivers in this country leading to supply chain problems; with one of the many theories being put forward is that truck drivers aren't being paid enough.

I asked him of that was the case and he said it's more than that; there are several qualified candidates who can pass an in-person interview, but fail the drug test because they have marijuana in their system.

It's the same with the freight drivers at our company. I was talking with our daily freight driver and he said that too many candidates are coming in with marijuana in their system.

Just because marijuana is legal here in Washington, doesn't mean it's legal at the Federal level and major corporations have a strict 'zero tolerance' policy.

Do people not realize that marijuana stays in your system up to a week after being smoked or injested? Can you at least lay off it for a few days before going on an interview?

Wow, you'd think your luck would have started to change by now. Hope things start going better for you soon.

That definitely doesn't sound good.

No, they don't. The amount of misinformation regarding marijuana that is out there, especially in Washington, is painful. I have worked with clients who insist the only way they can get through work is after smoking marijuana. And I'm just astounded at how inconsequential it is treated.

I once worked for a company that had a specific zero-tolerance drug policy in the employee handbook for us office drones. The high-pressure commissioned sales team had a different handbook with fewer rules. One time I snuck a gander at their policies, and there was absolutely no mention of drug use whatsoever.

I'm not trying to be judgmental about other people's use of substances, but I would hope that somebody in a state that allows recreational marijuana use, who is working for a company that doesn't allow it, would understand that it's in the best interest of both themselves and their employer to refrain from using while in that company's employ, and not just try to sneak past the initial drug test and go right back to using as soon as they are hired on.

Health insurance companies. Switched over to another policy and the fools continued to charge on my former one along with the one I'm on now. And trying to get it sorted out is a bad joke.

Yeah, I had some issues when I switched insurance companies a few years ago. It's a real pain in the ass.
One thing I absolutely cannot stand is silence, I always have to have the TV, a movie, music, ect. going. The only time I don't mind it is when I'm going to sleep, but even then, it's not completely silent thanks to the noises outside and the house and dogs making some noise.

Cool, we’re practically neighbors! But yeah, some people need to get educated on the dooby-doob. I admit I had to research.

I bought Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to play four-player couch multiplayer with my friends. Turns out only zombie mode has four-player offline mode. Multiplayer is only two players. What a waste of money.
