Things that frustrate us all

Something that always frustrates me is seeing the trailer of a new show drop on a streaming service and knowing they'll stick with the outdated weekly release instead of releasing it all at once and allowing for the full immersion in the story.
Depending on the show, I might prefer to savor one episode per week. This works for the Star Wars live action series since each episode tells a meaningful story. But with heavily serialized shows, nothing meaningful seems to happen over the course of one episode, so it's necessary to binge a whole season just to get a sense of basic plot development.

Naturally, how else are they to get new subscribers? Launch the entire series on a single day and some will take out a free month offer, watch the show and cancel.

It IS covered by warranty. They are going to call some time between 7 and 8 am tomorrow, to schedule their arrival.

Or so they say.

Warranty guy says the fridge needs a new compressor--well, duh--but the part isn't available. It's "too new" so they don't have a replacement. It could be days or weeks before we get a new fridge. Hubby contacted the builder and he said he would bring us a "loaner" like they did when we didn't have a fridge when we moved in. Builder new showed up. So we could now be without a fridge for not only the whole weekend, but as long as two weeks.

Did you break any mirrors lately? You really seem to have quite a streak of bad luck. ;)

Jeez, you really are having the worst luck. Hope things start to improve for you soon.

I used to work in the parts department for Ford and now for a certain auto parts store and we didn't carry/stock any parts for vehicles less than a year old as they are "too new" for the manufacturer to have built up an inventory or create a "generic" version that is sold in our stores.

Ugh, Dad and I were without the upstairs fridge for over a month a few years back. The repair people we called strung us along, and then said, "oh, we actually can't repair it." Then we finally got hold of someone who could. Then the fridge broke down again and we got a new fridge.

When I got home late this evening, my lamp was flickering a bit, so I tapped it to try to get it to work properly, and it just shattered. Not the bulb, the plastic part, but damn. I temporarily replaced it with my living room lamp but it's shorter and not as bright.
