Things that frustrate us all

No.

AFAIK, those garments are only meant for use inside a temple. Hence the name, temple garment. ;)

WRONG. Completely and totally wrong. It's called a temple garment because after your "endowment ceremony," where you are officially brought into the temple and therefore allowed to be the in temple as a member, you are given your first "garments." These are worn at all times, day and night, throughout their entire life. They can only take it off when absolutely necessary, like swimming or having surgery.

Here is the link I posted, again, that explains exactly what it is.

Youtube videos with clickbait-y cover images, like this astronomy mini-documentary about strange planets, that showed some weird donut-shaped thing with Earth-like terrain including continents and oceans. There was nothing of the sort in the video itself.

When Costco runs out of my favorite frozen street tacos. :scream: :wah:

No sooner did I replace my washer [...]my dishwasher dies. Sure, I can go back to washing dishes by hand for a while, but it's difficult to do in my wheelchair.
That sucks! Couldn't you in such a case get financial help from your insurance? Or perhaps you could do the dishes in a basin that you place on a low table or on a plank that you put across the armrests of the chair?

I think my laptop is going a bit iffy:( - It's way out of warrenty though.
The power supply seems to be cutting in and out at random (though I've checked that and tested another and it seems ok).

It hadn't ocured to me to ask for help from my insurance. I would need a perscription from my doctor for that to work, and I'm not sure he would write one for something like this, but I guess it never hurts to ask.

Replacing an appliance always blows but if you can find a sale somwhere, the large retailers will usually offer a payment plan of some kind. It might make It a little less painful.

It is indeed annoying how nothing in the house breaks by itself; it always seems to set off a chain of other problems.

I want to be back in my warm cozy bed! My body is at work but my working morale is still fast asleep.

It might be a slighly loose wire at the power cable socket in your laptop, or a wire in the cable being on the verge of breaking. Does the problem also occur if you run the laptop on its battery only?

If on battery alone it's fine. I have to check on mains alone (while it's not doing anything else) as it's crashed in the past without the battery in.

Given the same thing on two power supplies and two main cables, I'm thinking it's something to do with the socket on the laptop or some recent update has mucked something up. I'm probably going to ask someone to open it up and check the socket for me though. (I can get very static-y so I'd rather someone who is quite no shocking check it out. :) )

The verbal butchering of the English language some people do.

Okay, so this lady asks for diapers for what sounds like she is saying "Leejons".

Okay. So, what word do you think she was trying to say? I'll let you look at it again and think. Scroll down to see the answer.....

Answer: Newborns

Even on news programs, I see people sticking apostrophes on words to make them a plural; places that should have professional writers and researchers don't know how to fucking spell or write simple sentences in English.

^ I couldn't agree more. And there's also the annoying habit of confusing there/their and its/it's. It hurts those who love the beauty and elegance of the English language.

Yes, that sounds like the socket. Very likely just a loose contact/wire.

LOL I'd never have guessed that!

Work schedules that constantly change; I need to get up at 6:30 tomorrow morning but I'm not even sleepy yet.
