Things that frustrate us all

The Red Sox need a new stadium.

Not yet they don’t. Fenway Park has a good 20 to 30 years left, at least.

Besides, would YOU expect Red Sox fans to just accept replacing it? There’d be mass civil disorder in Boston if the Sox owners even breathed a word about tearing down Fenway.

Same goes for Wrigley Field in Chicago. Like it or not, those ballparks aren’t going anywhere. The people simply won’t allow it. These parks aren’t just beloved by the fans, they’re an essential part of the fabric of their cities. They’ll probably be there forever.

yeah, read about the little chap. I'm so sorry :( But often young birds get accidentially pushed out of the nest by their siblings because they are weak due to some sort of desease or illness. It is very likely that this one was beyond your help from the very beginning on. It looks like a young blackbird - maybe it had that blackbird virus that has killed many birds on the continent.

my argh-moment today is comparatively harmless: when pruning my tomato plants I stained my favourite t-shirt with the sap and can't get the stain out. Does anyone happen to know a good remedy to remove it? I tried curd soap and dishwashing detergent. Next I'll try alcohol and gall soap.

Well, as long as you don't use the alcohol to drown your sorrows over the lost T-shirt.;)

I might've posted this already, but I really don't like people who contact you about something you're selling on Craigslist and then go silent. There's actually some back and forth dialogue, doesn't appear to be a scammer asking you to mail it to them, and then they just stop responding.

That happened to me once when I was trying to buy something for my car. So annoying.

^eeks, that sucks! I had a few 14 hour days lately but as I start at 6 am, at least I still got home at daylight.

LOL naaah. Firstly, I don't give up that quickly. The stains are just on a sleeve. In the worst case I'll simply shorten the sleeves a little.
Secondly, I am a teatotaller. If you work for hours with your head over a petri dish of dead insects in 75% alcohol, you actually assimilate enough alc as to be unfit for driving. And you develop a deep revulsion for alcohol.

You should be careful or you could become an alcoholic without drinking a drop of alcohol. I think that's not unheard of.

It happened when I was giving some cheap stuff away for free. They contact you to see if it's available, and they say they'll come get it, but then they never do! :brickwall:
It got to the point where I had to limit to serious inquiries only.

A near death experience with a bout of pneumonia helped me develop a deep revulsion for alcohol
