Things that frustrate us all

Without getting into TNZ territory (I hope), I'm all for unions, but none that I've ever been a part of have helped me and they've told me just to "deal with it" when unsafe conditions are the norm. I'm talking to you, UPS.

It's that fun time of the year again for my union, negotiating the pay rise. It'll be very interesting to see what the offer is this year, saying as the grades below mine have already had their offer. Though I suspect like last year it might be another drawn out process this year.

Bought a present for someone's birthday that they really wanted (which I know because I keep my ears open). Turns out someone else had the same idea and I came in second!!! Damn it!!!

Auntie, I think you should see your GP asap. The symptoms you describe may very likely be harmless but they would also fit rather unpleasant conditions like the onset of flu (this years strain comes late and is so aggressive that an unusual number of patients have died over here) or a virus infection transfered by some insect or tick - not to be taken lightly either. I'd rather you'd be safe with your medicine man than us being sorry for losing you (temporarily, at least).

Sinus problems. I woke up about 3:30 am--two hours after I went to bed--with excruciating pain in my face and head. My sinuses were so inflamed that the pressure was unbearable. I can breathe just fine--I'm not congested--so perhaps it's just the lining that's irritated. It hurt so much I almost threw up. I tried rinsing my sinuses out with a neti pot, put hot compresses on my face, Tylenol sinus--nothing worked. I went downstairs and sat on the couch until I fell asleep again. Even in sleep, I was dreaming about how much my head hurt. Hubby woke me up a few hours later. I have neck problems so sitting up in bed is hard for me. UGH. I need to go the store--maybe I'll hit the pharmacy to see if they have anything that might help.

Oh, no! Do take @rhubarbodendron's advice.

I hope you feel much better soon.

When for some reason your bed feels uncomfortable in the middle of the night, you can't sleep, you're too tired to get up or do something like read a book or go online... time passes very slowly... It's very frustrating.

When it's been forever since you could do anything so you do as much as you can physically do to catch up and you end up pushing yourself too far.

Feeling a bit lightheaded right now.

"Do not bite off more than you can chew" or as we say in French "Qui trop embrasse mal etreint." which basically means that if you carry too many things in your arms, you'll drop some.

Ain't that the truth?;)

Been there too. Please do take care, and try not to push yourself too hard.

Easier said than done, I know. :)

I can sympathize. I generally have days like this two or three times a week.

having diabetes is frustrating :( I keep forgetting to count carbs with my favourite food and end up eating too much which makes me feel rather ill and very thirsty for a few hours.
