Things that frustrate us all

Everything is grown with chemicals - including humans. That's all we ARE, is chemicals.

I've already explained myself on that one. We're between adults, we can use shortcuts without people going nuts. When a worm grows in an apple, it actually means that no dangerous chemical substances have been sprayed on that fruit and that it's safe to eat. I normally take a knife when I eat fruits from the trees and just cut around the eaten parts. That's the price to pay not to poison oneself. Enjoy your chemically "dewormed" apples!

^ Up here, we call the equivalent form a T4. :) And they don't need to be sent out until February 28 at the latest. Of course, our tax deadline is at the end of April, rather than the middle.

I think we send our rough equivalents out by the end of May, but they're usually ready early April.

Seriously? You'd actually eat an apple with a WORM in it? :barf:

This hysteria has got to stop. Pesticides, in general, are safe. Farmers couldn't function without them. If a particular chemical proves dangerous, fine, get it off the market. But you can't blame ALL of them for just one or two.

This idea that "all chemicals are bad" and "everything 'natural' is good" is just self-righteous hippie smugness.

I am sorry but pesticides are not safe. They accumulate in your body and contribute to the development of diseases. It's well-known that in countries like America, for example, the number of autistic children has increased geometrically during these last decades. Same thing for Alzheimer's, more people show signs of it as time passes and earlier in their life. It used to be a disease that affected people in their eighties, now there are cases that start as early as when people are in their fifties.

^ There's not a shred of evidence that pesticides have anything to do with any of those things.

Please tell me you're not one of those anti-vaxx nutcases.

I've got all my vaccines, thank you.

Do you inject yourself with small doses of pesticides?

Like Mitridate who used to ingest all sorts of poisons to make himself immune to them?

Because, FYI, that almost never works!!!

Dammit. Only had my Switch for around 3 months so far and the left joy con's stick is creaking when I move up or forward. Great just great. Going to see if I can exchange them for another pair from the store I got it from. The system itself works ok. So not happy right now. :scream:

Lots of WD40 on the stick. Trust me on this. I've fixed a jittery PS3 controller and sticky right joycon stick. I mean, don't submerge it or anything, but be liberal with it. Let it dry for about an hour and it should be fine. Creaks especially, since that's what WD40 is literally made for.

I shave my head every morning. Strangely enough, I rarely cut myself (I use a blade - electrics irritate).

It does frustrate me when I cut myself on the back of the head (where I can't see) because I have no idea where to put the bandage...
