Things that frustrate us all

When your guest's car won't start and it's the middle of the night. So you have to shelter them for the night, unexpectedly.

That’s not very easy or fun. Did you find a place for all of them? Hope they get their car started this morning. :)

Having the same problems over and over and over, even when you’re promised change.
Situations when things don’t change or improve are indeed frustrating.

I wish I didn’t have to sit through one more Christmas dinner tonight (some people who couldn’t come yesterday will be here today to celebrate).

Getting an MRI. Had my first one today. I'm not even claustrophobic but I still found it a trying experience --I think it's the noise. I had to keep my eyes closed the whole time and try to think happy thoughts -- like petting my cat or the sound of him purring.

On Christmas Day? Best wishes.

Not really. They just clog up roads in my opinion.

Maybe, but even for those who know how to use them, they're not worth it. Been a passenger with my mom using a couple of them before (we've gotten familiar with them) and we still do not like them. In fact, we hate them.

Word. That looks like a giant mess.

Yes but studies generally come out with the results of a Roundabout vs an Intersection

Roundabouts are far Safer.

Roundabouts are generally cheaper to maintain over their lifespan (might cost more to build initially however)

Roundabouts more or often than not improve traffic flow (How many times have you been sat at an intersection with no traffic going through it waiting for a green light?)

Roundabouts generally reduce fuel emissions due to the aforementioned not sat waiting for a green light when there is no traffic.

Does that mean every intersection should be replaced with Roundabouts no of course not because there are always exceptions to the rule.

Sorry, but I disagree about said studies. Especially when it comes down to drivers. They drive far too fast, thus making said roundabouts just as dangerous as any intersection (in my opinion).

Agreed on that. Both places where I've had to go through one of them are places that a) didn't need them, b) didn't make them any safer, c) ended up making things worse traffic wise.

So I guess those studies which say in general roundabouts are safer and more efficient than an intersection are "alternative" facts.

But perhaps part of the difference of opinion is that in some parts of the world, roundabouts are fairly uncommon whilst in other parts of the world they are more common so drivers are more used to them.

I just sat in the back corner seat on an airplane with no screens on the seat in front. A screaming child just sat directly in front of me and because it’s the back row the seat does not recline.

It looks like the child might be trying to close my window.

Looks like they have only minimal service.

Screaming children are one of my pet peeves! Screaming children at airplanes are the worst! But screaming children in trains or buses are really frustrating as well. There is nowhere to go to escape the screaming.
What makes me the most frustrated in such instances is if the parents let the kids scream without trying to soothe them. It’s just disrespectful towards the kid in question as well as other people. I’m not a parent, which is probably the reason for my lack of sympathy and understanding.

I agree with this. I’m a roundabout fan. Traffic does flow so much better, not least because you only give way to one direction and the entry/exits are sweeping curves, not hard turns.
Some drivers do go through them very fast, but on a large roundabout on a big road you can pass safely through without dropping below 40mph. Can’t do that at a regular interchange.

Some people are for minimal governmental intervention but in the case of traffic without the intervention of the police, the death toll would be horrible. You'd be safer traversing the jungle on foot than taking your car to go to work.

Some lady at a business with a crying young kid (still young enough to be held). She made ZERO attempt to stop the crying. Then she called out for help with something and the worker who came over -- gasp -- covered her ears from the shrill loud crying.

This fucktard then goes off on the worker berating her, "Are you covering your ears when my child is crying?", like her child's crying is God's gift to everyone's ears.

She needed a serious case of ass kicking.
