Things that frustrate us all

People in the self-checkout line at the grocery store who won't let you finish bagging your groceries before they start scanning theirs. I want to yell at them "give me a break - I'm going as fast as I can!"

If that guy with the car in the picture above is required to pay extra to be able to do that, then I don't mind.

Then there are those in the Express lanes (X Items or less) who quite clearly have more than X.

Then there are the stores that close all but the express lanes after a certain hour.

Me: This was the only lane open, but I have way more than 12 items.
Cashier: It’s OK, it doesn’t matter.

Maybe not to you, but I bet it’ll matter to the line of people behind me with 3 or 4 items each...

Do you think it would be better if instead of keeping the express lane, they would keep the ordinary lane instead?

They usually have two or three express checkouts open, so I think that they could put one of those people on a regular lane instead.

I guess I implied there was only one checkout, because I said “only lane”. But for the store I’m referring to, the express checkouts are single-queue. If there was literally only one cashier, then no, it wouldn’t matter either way.

If it's something like between 00:00 and 06:00 one should perhaps expect the store will be minimally staffed with checkout, if it's a larger store they might have a replen team in (though they might not be checkout trained)

Ah, I see the flaw in your line of thinking, you are thinking. ;)

Show me a greater douchebag.

When you think about it, it's really not that bad, in fact I see it as a great move.

Look a the spaces -- two of them, so only two cars can park. By parking on that middle line you can now add two additional "spaces". On the left we see a big space for a bigger car and on the right a smaller area for maybe a compact, VW Beetle or motorcycle; the smaller vehicle can park right close up to the orange cone and open the door behind the cone, so there's room.

This is, of course, assuming these spaces aren't going to be immediately used and are blocked off for other reasons than douchebags claiming a parking space while they're gone and not utilizing it.

Those are his cones that he takes with them and sets out after he parks so no one parks within two spots of him in either direction.

Really? Well, that looks like a housing complex of some kind and if he lives there, the lease -- like most leases -- specifies how many spaces you get. Some even specify where you can park. Read you lease, if it specifies how many spaces you get, then contact the building owner and fiel a complaint.
