Things that frustrate us all

The Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto is pretty cool. And it has the advantage of having a front entrance that looks exactly like a crashed Borg cube. :borg:

Public restrooms that only have hot-air blowers with nary a paper-towel in sight.

 :censored:

They have that at our office building, mostly because of littering. There were also other issues apparently, though thankfully I didn't see that personally.

They are indeed. Paper towels not only kill trees but make a big mess, as customers throw them around, miss the trash can, etc. So you not only have pay for the towels but take the time to clean them up. However, the towels also are the best way to prevent the spread of germs. I read some study not long ago that said the blowers send the germs flying around in a much wider circumference and that towels were far more sanitary.

I believe the washing is supposed to take care of the germs, not the drying.

Not all of the germs. Bacteria build up inside the machines, as well. There might also be bacteria on the paper towels--they just don't have powerful jets to blast them all around the room. So it's probably a matter of six to one, half a dozen to the other.

The Mythbusters had half an episode devoted to just this, in their last season. It's worth checking out. I WANT my PAPER-TOWELS...!
FerskUlopis Mat!!!

Kids not getting that it’s bed time. That’s frustrating on a Saturday night when the booze needs drinking.

Dryer on the fritz again. I’ll never buy another Indesit again.

The American obsession with having a front lawn. "Hey, let's bulldoze everything--all the plants and trees--and build homes here and put down grass that sucks up way more fertilizer and water--because it's so important to have a perfect green carpet out in front of your house that you will never use."

Did you have to go out and hang the clothes...? With usqueba waiting....?

:( ;)

I'd love to have an Astroturf front lawn...although that would get so hot that it'd hurt like a sumbitch in the middle of summer...

The what now? I googled usqueba and drew a blank.

Hanging out clothes not an option, dark, wet, and no garden, but that’s another frustration.

Would love a lawn.
