Things that frustrate us all

All of those standard diet tips are so bullshit, during my two internships I walked more then 10 000 steps, drank 2,5 liters very often, ate healthy and still didn't lose weight in those 5 months because I built a lot muscles and those weight more than fat!

Also those experience gifts are such a joke, it kinda feels like a legal scam. There are conditions to even use them and even then you have to pay extra!

Bureaucracy.
For the past month or so I've been wrestling with paperwork for a nearly finished project and getting the runaround every single step of the way. And now, our dear university administrators have stopped processing the very documentation I need until mid-August.
Well, I hope they enjoy their break. I'll be camped out on their doorstep the day they return.

Overheard on today's conference call.
"We're going to raise the price of some services, but we're going to give the customers coupons that will bring it back down to the price it was before, and the customer will think they're saving money."
This is a common practice.
My sister in law works for Safeway/Albertsons and they do this on products all the time, and she tells us which one's to avoid the markup.

Very common practice in the grocery world. You can figure out quite a lot of the markups on your own if you look at the prices of the same things regularly when you shop. (Also some quick math will do it... price against how many ounces. Pint of ice cream, for instance.)
