Motel 6 and Hotel 8 were named because it was $6 and $8 a night, respectively.
I had the CT scan I need scheduled for yesterday afternoon. I got called by the imaging place (SimonMed) Friday because my insurance denied their pre-auth request. I called my insurance and found out my doctor had requested more areas to be imaged than "required for diagnosis." I called my doctor to have a new order put in, as well as an order for a Xanax for me to take before getting the IV put in.
Yesterday, Walgreens had no record of the Xanax. Then I got to SimonMed and the new pre-auth was listed as "pending" so I said I'd pay out-of-pocket. I get back to the tech and they don't have the ultrasound machine for finding veins like mine. They got a tech with 20+ years experience. He tried twice (once in each arm), but could not get an IV in me. So no scan. Since my doctor's office isn't far away, I went there and talked to my doc's MA (my doc was off) so she could talk to my doc this morning.
Doctor messaged me today that I need to find another SimonMed that can do it. I spent waaaaaaay too much of my day on the phone and found that NONE of them can do what I need to have an IV for this scan. So I now have a message in to my doctor's referral coordinator to see if we can find somewhere that can do this. Then it will need to be scheduled and approved and hubby and I will need to take time off again.
ARGH!!!!!

It's not exactly the most pleasant smell, but I'll take it any day over (tobacco) cigarette smoke.I seriously cannot stand the smell of weed/marijuana/call it whatever…
Never seen the fascination in the stuff, and not just because of my career in the USCG/military — the crap just stinks to high Heaven IMO.![]()

I’m saying all this because my neighbor in the hotel that I’m staying in up here in Seattle through April (for work purposes) insists on lighting up every afternoon. It’s heavy/bad enough to make one (or at least me) nauseous.
I’ve told the management about it, so we’ll see. Not expecting much, to be honest, but maybe I’ll be surprised. *crossing fingers*
Cheers,

If you're referring to the glottal stop, it's a common feature of many English dialects, chiefly Cockney, Northern English and Scottish. In the southern US they drop "g"s. They plan "weddin's" instead of weddings.
What bugs me is when a central T is dropped. Like "daugh'er" for daughter.
That is frustrating! I hope you can get in and get your CT soon!I had the CT scan I need scheduled for yesterday afternoon.
