Things that frustrate us all

There is a Petrol Station near me and on one of the ways in is clearly marked as No Exit for vehicles leaving the station the number of people who can't read and try to leave that way. It's marked No Exit for a reason as the entrance is right on a 5 way crossroads.

The only saving grace I suppose is that we are a convenience store retailer, so most of the customers are understanding as you interact with them day in day out. It's the non regular ones that are trying us last (how rude ;) )that tend to be less understanding.

Sorry, obviously couldn't say that at work so had to say it here.

In short, there's a guy who's been working on a code base for ten years and I got recently assigned to the project. Being the "Learn by doing" person I am, I started working on a ticket. He asks to see it, before I even tested it. Then he sees some issues with the code, because I'm new to the project and wasn't aware of certain things, and goes off on a condescending accusatory rant that I'm ignoring his code style and "Just doing my own thing". When he could have just, you know, pointed out the issues he saw so I could fix them. Like a human.

That's just consistently my experience with people his age. Lots of responsibility, no understanding. The Negativity Bias Generation is a better name.

Since I am married to an IT guy, friends with an IT guy and most of Hubby's friends are IT guys, I might make the suggestion that Expert Level Condescension is part of the job description, rather than a quality of one's age group. ;)
 
I know that there are bigger problems in the world right now, but the rubber seal on my coffee jar has perished. It’ll last another month maybe, but I’m going to need a new rubber seal soon.
 
A friend told me that I could finally see "Picard"--hubby won't pay for CBS All Access-- and all I have to do is type in " GIFT. ". So I bring up the channel and there's no place to type it in! :wah:
 
I received a package from Amazon (I guess it's a third party), and when I opened the box the glass was completely shattered. It's from poor packing, there wasn't sufficient and secure enough styrofoam. I contacted Amazon yesterday, and they're going to help me with getting this refunded ... but I have no way of moving this box. They had better send someone to pick it up.

My knee has been bugging me since last night. Must have pulled that tendon. Now my leg feels swollen and tender from my kneecap to my calf. I've been walking around the house like Walter Brennan all day.
 
One thing that makes confinement even more frustrating is that every TV network and its advertisers have started having all these “We’re there for you, you’re not alone” messages, some recorded by celebrities.

Yes, I am not alone. My family and friends are there for me. YOU are trying to sell me something. Stop infecting the one fun thing I can still do with patronizing self serving reminders of the crap going on.
 
I've been watching " Vera" mysteries to pass the time. My tablet, for some reason, keeps auto-filling it as "Vera Bradley." And I don't even like those ugly-ass handbags. :lol:
 
When I'm in an unfamiliar city and I accidentally turn the wrong way onto a one-way street because my town did away with all the one-way streets years ago, and I'm completely unaccustomed to them.

sorry to hear that so many of you have health problems and broken items etc. It's amazing (and highly frustrating) how things tend to go wrong in the worst possible moment. In hope you all get well soon / manage to mend your broken things or to get replacements.

My argh-moment today: I had planned to upholster an old chair and can't find my tacker. I searched my work shed from top to bottom but the darned thing stayed vanished. Amazon could deliver a new one but way after my 1 week vacation and then I won't have the time to use it. I guess I'll do it the classical way: with a hammer and tiny nails.
On the plus side: I now have a perfectly tidied work shed. :D
 
Vacaction? What is vacation? No vacation in sight for me. No travelling alowed. All my plans for this year ruined. I need the upcoming holidays to get some much needed sleep.
 
I have 2 weeks left from last year and must take them before June. So I took 1 week now and shall take another at Whitsun. I had intended to go to GB and visit @Jim Gamma and a few other friends :( Ah well, maybe in Winter.
