They might be in for a bit of a shock

Stupid thieves. If I had stolen the truck/trailer, and couldn't have sold the animals, I would have just shot them, burried the animals somewhere, and then gone on with whatever one does with a stolen truck and trailer.

Thank goodness! I couldn't stand the thought of that beautiful kitty and camels over hot and thirsty because of a couple stupid humans.

^^ He should.

This is great news. I was getting pretty pessimistic.

It's very interesting that the animals were cared for. Either they really were abducted intentionally and something went wrong, or the thieves were decent enough to care whether they lived or died.

Not to mention brave. I mean, opening up the trailer to find a tiger inside...and then actually getting close enough to give it water?

Maybe they waited until it was asleep.

True. I wonder what the interior layout of the trailer was. Did they have to go past the camels to get to the tiger, or go past the tiger to get to the camels? :rommie:

The newspaper reports clearly pointed out that the tiger could be safely given water using the turkey baster that was in the trailer. The tiger had been trained to drink from the baster.

I still think Shawn and Todd are just strange names for camels, but I guess it was good luck that it happened to be camels in there, which don't require water for many days. And feeding the tiger cat food - ha! I guess that works.

"An undisclosed amount of money was involved in getting back the big cat and the camels." What, did the alert passerby negotiate his reward before giving the location or something?

Very interesting. I can't wait to hear more details. One of the men hasn't been charged yet. I wonder if the younger guy stole the truck and then went to the other guy for help when he realized what he had. It sounds like one or both of them made an effort to take care of the animals while they had them.
