"Good morning, Pocket Books....yes....one moment please.....yes, I have the BBC on Line Two, and they sound rather irate..."

Maybe this is a Star Trek/Doctor Who crossover! ;)
As awesome as a Trek/Who crossover would be (and RTD even wanted to do one), I don't see it happening, for the same reason that Marvel and DC crossovers are unlikely for the foreseeable future -- why should one company spend its time and creative energies and share its characters to prop up the other? Star Trek and Doctor Who aren't on anything approaching equal footing. It's unfortunate, but it's true.

I'm well aware of Jean Airey's fanfic novella; I've made a hobby of collecting editions of it. And there are other fanfic writers who have crossed Doctor Who and Star Trek successfully, such as Paul Gadzikowski.

But an official crossover? It's unlikely to happen for the reasons I've mentioned above.

True enough, but I did enjoy the Avengers/JLA cross-over a couple years back. Wouldn't mind seeing (no matter how unlikely to happen) an Invaders/Justice Society* crossover set in the WW2 era.

(*or would that have been the All-Star Suadron?)
