There's gotta be an a...hole at every job!

After serving in the Army for 12 years, I can handle civilian buttholes easily.

I worked with a guy once who thought he was a stud. He treated everybody like crap talked down to everybody, but left me alone. During one meeting he decided to set his sights on me. He started out by making fun or me and trying to humilate me, then talking about my quality of work. Of course everybody laughed because they were just happy he wasnt picking on them.

When he was through with his tirade, I looked at him and said, "I served 12 years as a M1A1 Abrams tanker in the US Army. I killed people whose only sin was being in their country's uniform and in the way of my tank. I've had Serbians point AK-47s at me and still I refused to back down. What makes you think I won't "flashback" due to the stress you put me under and kill you right now?"

Everybody got quiet and he left the room and never bothered me again. Everybody in the office then started hanging around me and this loser was powerless to stop them since he was scared of me and everybody knew it.

Thanks! The "crazy disabled war veteran" act solved all my work place conflicts. I found that civilians are pretty much clueless about the military and believe anything you tell them. I got out of the Army in March 2001 and have worked 5 jobs since then. Four were regular civilian jobs and at each one I ran into an "office bully" so I pulled the "crazy disabled war veteran" act on them.

There aint nothing they can really say after I lay down the law because:

1. They are scared I just might kill them.
2. I'm a disabled vet so it makes a company look bad to throw one of us out on the street.
3. I keep to myself unless pushed by the bully and then he wont have a leg to stand on if he complains because everybody is on my side after I tear into him and will back me up that HE is the problem and not me.

Right now I work with the US Army as a civilian and couldnt be happier. I am back with folks just like me. I couldnt stand the civilian world.
