What is wrong with the channel that shows it... i mean tbh they dont even need to show it just put it online somewhere on an ondemand service.. you just cant not show it for one week..

It's a bit silly. Surely these networks should know by now that the larger share of audiences don't watch a show live, but record it instead to watch at a later time.

It's not that much larger of the audience in the ratings department.

A 33% increase is substantial and in line with some of the most-TiVOed shows, like Lost, The Office and Heroes.
Like the story says, the Live Plus 7 Day figures aren't as important as Live Plus Same Day - you have to assume some people zap ads, plus some ads are time sensitive - but it has some impact.
