I haven't seen it, but I've heard good things about it. I believe you that it's good. It's just not the kind of movie that I'd peg in advance as a likely breakout hit. My point was simply that predicting what's going to be a hit and what isn't seems to have gotten harder of late.

Have you guys seen Marley & Me?

Not all of it, but ny niece was watching it when I was visiting the other day. What I saw of it made me want to fly backwards around the Earth and unmake it.

I had heard that, for what it is, it's actually quite good and goes beyond the convention of your expectations for that kind of film.

But then again...you like the Fast & The Furious movies, so... ;)

I think if anything this proves there's a SATAN!
I thought we were in the middle of a recession?

And THIS is what people are spending their limited money on? Fast and Furious 4?!

Wow.

Star Trek better make twice that opening weekend. :p
I would like to think it will, but after seeing the numbers for this dreak, I doubt it.:(
There's a car chase in the new Trek movie. ;)
I hope that's just enough ''car'' action to bring in the 'NASCAR' money! Can you belive how much that ''sport'' makes every year?:wtf:

The last six months or so has been among the craziest unpredictable periods in box office performances in memory. I mean, "Marley and Me" outperforms both "Bolt" and "Bedtime Stories"? "Paul Blart" and "Taken" are big hits? Who would have seen that coming?

Um, "Marley" was based on a hugely bestselling book. I'm not surprised it did well. The book was on the bestseller list for months . . . .

Really? Ah, OK. I had no idea about that.

I liked the first one and the fourth one. The second one was... "watchable."

And I like them as mindless enterainment.

Oh no, there most certainly is a god.

We all will be suprised that he is not what we are expecting him to be. Don't let religious rhetoric sway you.

God created this universe for his own amusement, and creates natural disasters and drama simply to entertain himself. That explains everything that ever happened, while still rendering the concept of god possible.
