There is a God...

Some people value other traits in addition to physical attractiveness. You don't know him, her, or why their relationship ended.

^ Don't bother. As we have seen here, to some guys, physical attractiveness apparently IS the only thing that is of value. ;)

They'd better hope they end up wealthy. Cus that's the only way they are gonna get the hot young chicks they value when they are 60.

Yes, I know these things and I do value other things about women besides their looks. However, looks are the first thing a guy will notice and it is very important. This great article from Psychology Today explains why in the 1st of it's 10 talking points.

Well, my goal is to get a hot/smart girl now while I'm young and stick with her for life. If I make it to 60, I probably won't be interested in girls in their 20's anymore. How could I possibly relate to them? How could I (other than being rich) possibly attract them? Give them all the Werther's Originals they could ever want? :p

Looks come first, anything else is a bonus.

Not entirely true. I want a girl with at least some intelligence, in addition to physical beauty. You can't have a good relationship with someone when you can't communicate on a meaningful level. Some bimbo that's as dumb as the proverbial post is just as unattractive to me as the proverbial fat chick.

I forgot to respond to this. Obviously, there are some people who value physical attractiveness far beyond anything else. But I'd say there are very few guys who only value a woman for her looks. I haven't seen that attitude very much at all on the board, which is why I felt the need to comment in this thread in the first place.

I know I was just messing. That's one of the main things that turns me right on, an intelligent, well read and well educated woman with an amazing intellect and a sense of humour that utilises all those gifts.
Looks are the bonus. :techman:

Hey, I can't help it if I'm attracted to huge brains. :D

Sorry, I was talking to Tachyon Shield.

It's cool. That article is still a fascinating read. Check it out when you get the time.

...and he apparently loves me and wants me to be happy.

Who knows, I just might have an ice cube's chance in a Lake of Fire now...

Oh yeah...

You're going to make a move on Brian Austin Green? Go for it!:techman:

No.

When I hear this the other day I just KNEW it was going to be a thread here.

While I agree that looks it what usually gets a man intrested in a woman (I for one have a thing for women about a foot shorter then me with dark hair), I'd say that for any kind of relationship I'd rather say that it's looks that are a bonus.

What fun would a extremly hot woman be if we had totally different values and likes and dislikes? I'm not saying that these should totally match up, but some kinda of consensus has to exist otherwise it just won't work in the long run.

It shouldn't be too much to ask that to have a partner that you find sexy AND stimulates you mentally, and makes you laugh. And enjoy a good home cooked meal and so on.

You must've been crushed when Krang and Shredder ran off together to Dimension X.

I find those tattoos she has disgusting and a total turn off. Plus, my sister's name is Megan so it's even weirder.

See my third thread post. ;)

Brian Austin Green. Wow. He's a hot guy. The last I saw him was on Sarah Connor Chronicles. When he was younger, he was cute, too. He was almost like a Bel Ami porn twink, not that I watched gay porn back in my teens, but I did fantasize about him.
