The X-Files : Season X (Spoilers!)

I'd be interested to see a cable TV revival with a maximum of 12 episodes per season. Also, that would allow for more mature content.

I don't think that'll happen. Chris seemed to be against that. He preferred it on Fox.

Less than an hour to the newest episode. Getting a bottle of root beer ready for it.

1x05...

I saw Mulder's house on Supernatural.

I liked Einstein and whatshisface, especially Einstein but I'm not ready for any passing of the torch.

Overall, a good episode. A straightforward socially relevant terrorist plot with a mild supernatural twist to justify it as an X-Files case. That and a good touch of that X-Files humor. I liked it.

That was probably our glimpse of Cancer Man.

Mulder was hilarious during his magic mushroom trip. I couldn't stop laughing.

That was a horrid episode. I wish I could get back my 61 minutes. The highlight (no pun intended) was the ending with 'Ho Hey' playing.

Well that was...weird. The tonal shift between the very real life threat of suicide bombers to Mulder tripping balls and line dancing was strange. The ending scene between Mulder and Scully was nice, but the whole episode left me feeling :wtf:

Mulder dancing to Achy Breaky Heart = Priceless.

I loved Scully's response to Agents Miller and Einstein's knock on the door: "Only the FBI's Most Unwanted." :guffaw: "I've been waiting to say that for 23 years."

Terrorism is a real and constant threat in today's world. This was the first time I can recall the series has ever addressed this issue, citing the power of suggestion, the weight and substance of words to move people to action, and the role of religion.

I'm really going to miss this show. :( Next week's finale (season or series?) revisits the first episode involving the conspiracy. It's like an old friend I hadn't seen in ages and is now saying farewell again.

The commercials are still calling it 'season finale' so if they can convince everyone to do 7 episodes next year (The wanted 7 this year.) I'll watch but some of these 6 episodes have been horrible.

'Babylon' was not a very good episode IMO. I have had a problem with the “forced humor” in all these episodes, but maybe it’s the writers trying to give us Mulder & Scully in a more light-hearted state because they are now older and have seen and been through just about any and everything. This really doesn’t set well with me because I always (no matter how bad the episode) thought that at least they were serious about the work. It seems like every exchange is ripe with clichés and/or jokes. I never really got the feeling there was a threat remaining in this episode. We all new there was, but it seemed like a side story. I really didn’t enjoy Einstein (blouse unbuttoned and all) that much and Tom Cruise (I mean Miller) was pretty square. I thought this episode did ask the important question though, where does all the hate come from? Epically pumped for the finale next week; back to what made The X-files rock!

Knowing that Gillian Anderson doesn't want to keep doing this, have we been introduced to the new Mulder & Scully?

I hope not.
It was fun for Mulder and Scully deal with "clones" of themselves for an episode, but if the show will continue with those two taking over the X-Files they might as well have just rebooted the whole thing and recast Mulder and Scully.
