I'd like to see a model of the Enterprise done as if it hailed from the thirties, forties or fifties--a ship that really looks like two rockets, a cigar and a flying saucer rather than just suggesting it, and in chrome or gunmetal. (Think along the lines of the sketch of DS9 that Benny Russell used to inspire himself in FBTS.)

you know, i always thought the 2nd study model for the excelsior would be interesting ship to see modeled, tho that would probably be a major project if one doesn't exist already

This is listed as study model 1, but looks more like model 2 to me:

In fact, looking at the different sites I googled, there seems to be some confusion as to which models are are versions 1, 2, and 3. I think the above link may be what you are looking for though, including a some of nice renders(if only they were big enough for wallpaper)

since the link didn't work, I was talking about the 2 nacelled version that has the smaller saucer. It also has shorter nacelles and same paint scheme as the one in the illustration of the unused TSFS being talked about a few posts away.

I would like to see a TOS version of scoutship configured like the NX-Alpha. The Aurora from the remastered "The Way to Eden" is an interesting design, but it would be neat to take that remastered image and evolve it more, perhaps as a larger version. It would be interesting to see the aft section look more like the NX-Alpha as well.

I'd like to see more takes on M. Jeffries concept art for TOS. Not so much the sphere ship stuff, which has been done to death, but some of his other designs featured over at the trekcore website. There's some kewel Klingon ship variants that are almost good enough 'as is' to be earlier/other class warships (one even looks like an early KBOP?). Then there's the varient K-7 station that could/should have been used in the R-TUC IMHO, not to mention the variuos dockyard/shuttlecraft concepts and Nomad/Tan-ru ideas. In short there's a veritable treasure trove of inspiration to choose from! So how about it?

Something like this? I came up with this one about 4 years ago. About all it's missing is the flames coming out the back end and the strings to hold it up!
