I will agree with The Alternative Factor, although Plato's Stepchildren is a close second. Some other ones mentioned here, The Spectre of the Gun, Let This Be Your Last Battlefield and The Omega Glory, I like. And The Children Shall Lead, Spock's Brain, That Which Survives and The Way To Eden are tolerable and occasionally even enjoyable.
Definitely different strokes... I love The Omega Glory!

And The Children Shall Lead - Hands down the worst for me to watch, the evil glowie being in the mumu was way to much for me to accept even when I saw it as a kid.
The Omega Glory - Always blew my mind too, maybe I could accept the other Earth in Miri, and the Roman version of Earth but this was a little too over the top jingoistic for me. The premise was way to hard to swallow for me.

"Gideon" has some of the worst, most absurd logical loopholes. The planet being so dangerously overcrowded that they can STILL build a 1,000-foot-long perfect replica of a Federation starship?
And that's just ONE of this turkey's issues. Odona and the creepy ambient sound effects on the fake Enterprise are all that save this from Lazarus and Gorgan territory.

And The Children Shall Lead is just unwatchable; it has not one redeeming factor.
Spock's Brain, on the other hand, is the episode that I would recommend to anyone who has never seen TOS. It's a perfect introduction to the series.
The Alternative Factor is interesting, has a decent storyline and a "WTF?" attitude. It suffers from poor editing; that's it.

John Barrymore, Jr.(Drew's dad)would likely have made a much better Lazarus. But thanks to his alcoholism and unreliability at the time we'll never know. He might have saved that turkey...or at least made it marginally more watchable.

Mark of Gideon and Omega Glory are also terrible. Boring and terrible. There's no higher crime than to be boring when it comes to Trek...nothing!

"Spock's Brain" doesn't even make my Top 10. It's a popular episode to bag on, especially by bandwagon types. It's a lot like saying Star Trek V is the worst Trek film. What...did you not see Nemesis?

The Alternative Factor. I don't know what it is, but every time I try to watch that one, I just zone out and completely lose all interest. As bad as some of the above mentioned episodes are, at least I can watch them.
