I liked it quite a lot, would like the chance to see the earlier edit of the film which was about 17 minutes longer.

It took me a moment to get into it, but I enjoyed it. The casting and FX were good. And the set up for a sequel was well done.

The Wolfman opened with $36 million, which is decent but not great. It'll be interesting to see if the film has any legs.

Not much concerned with box office. I liked it enough to add it to my library when it comes out on DVD.

It got its butt kicked by the shlocky bullshit of a RomCom that came out. But, VD was this weekend so I guess it makes sense a RomCom would do better than a melodramatic thriller.

This movie probably would've done better later in the Spring or if it opened closer to Halloween.

But Valentine's Day weekend? Whose billiant idea was that?

I dunno. I was able to convince my girlfriend to see The Wolfman. Something about a hairy wolfman creature just... turned her on.

And that was before del Toro put on the makeup!

Haha, well, he does resemble something beastly even without the make-up.

I can't say I thought much to it. I almost fell to sleep watching it. But beyond a big plot hole there was nothing really that made it a bad movie, I just wasn't interested/

Re: The Wolf man (grading and discussion)

I always had an notion for classic horror films like Dracula, Frankenstein, creature from the black lagoon, but nothing got me more excited then the remake of the 1941 classic
this an must for werewolf fans I enjoy it

Re: The Wolf man (grading and discussion)

Saw it this afternoon and I'll give it a C. Nothing spectacular, but nothing so awful that I wanted to leave the theater. Just an entertaining movie.

Average

It wasn't appalling like I expect most modern horrors to be but it did make some silly mistakes. The actors delivered entertainment even if the overall movie felt kinda flat

I just recently saw it, and i must say it was an good movie, but other then that i thought the story could've been alot more better, In my opinion The Father vrs The son plot was an differrent new twist for the story, but other then that it was good old fashion entertainment.

^The father-son stuff kinda reminded me of the similar themes in Ang Lee's Hulk (2003).

Overall, I give it a BELOW AVERAGE. It's mostly just cheap gore & cheap scares. Hugo Weaving is excellent. Anthony Hopkins seems to be having some fun as the Worst. Father Ever. But beyond that, nothing to see here. Nothing to divert my werewolfy attention away from the Underworld films.

Everything needs more butter.

Mmmmm. Butter.

EDIT..........

BTW. Quoting this post confused the heck out of me.

And I figured out why.

Zakk used the Spoiler code wrong. He's a n00b so I'm going to help him out.

Zakk, you put the spoiler in the place where the "spoiler hint" goes and nothing between the brackets.

You did it like this:

[ SPOILER=Jack dies at the end of Titanic][ /SPOILER]

The "Spoiler=" is supposed to be a hint about the spoiler so people know what it is about, between the bracketed items goes the actual spoiler:

[ SPOILER=Ending of Titanic]Jack dies.[ /SPOILER]

:)
