The War of the Prophets Timeline

The Enterprise-F was launched in 2382 following the destruction of the USS Enterprise-E

The Enterprise was lost with all hands, including Tom Paris, Geordi La Forge and Deanna Troi when the Grigari destroyed Earth in 2388.

The ship was the first of its class and it was stated that it was the Defiant to the tenth power. It also possessed a multi-vector assault mode; built with the purpose of combating the Grigari threat.

One of the few storylines that make me Cringe, as Tom Paris is one of my favorite ST Characters of all time. Glad it isnt Cannon. :borg:

Given it was an alternate timeline it wouldn't really matter if the novels were canon as it could all be ignored anyway, not to mention that most of the action takes place 25 years after the series ends.

I personally enjoyed the novels, it was over the top but fun.

I love alternate futures and so I really enjoyed The War of the Prophets. I thought the fake Bajoran version of Starfleet was a cool idea, and I loved that the DS9ers didn't know for sure whether they'd change their future or create an alternate parallel timeline. It was a cool way to reconcile conflicting canon. Also, I got a kick out of the Grigari using a weapon very similar to STXI's Red Matter.

Kai Wayoun! Fantastic.

The Reeves-Stevens Trek novels (and Shatner collaborations) are great fun. Like Trek as a big budget action movie.

The amount of startrek material out there mind numbing. i need to start collecting me some books!
