I was watching the newest episode online today since I missed it on Thursday (#7 3.69).

I like the show so far, it is nothing like Twilight...thank God...I just hope it stays on track.

Is anyone else watching?

Hurting for money, Matt (Zach Roerig) takes a job at the Mystic Grill, where former high school football-star Ben (guest star Sean Faris, “Never Back Down”), works as a bartender. Ben comes to Bonnie’s (Katerina Graham) aid when he notices Damon is bothering her. I have to admit I'm still enjoying the show. So yeah, I will definitely continue watching it.

It avoids the stuff that made Smallville annoying...she knows everything and we just have to see where it goes from there, I hope it doesn't fall into the Buffy trap...where Stefan is like Angel & Damon is like Spike...as much fun as that was...seen it and don't want to see it again...I haven't read the books and from what I heard the show doesn't really follow them...but it still makes a good light read I am betting.
 
She is hot...actually alot of the girls on the show are hot...Jasmine Guy...shame she hasn't aged too well, she has that look of a smoker...sad. I miss Vicki...she was cool & well...if you watch the show...you know.
 
Every new character who appears is a vampire now. That compass is gonna be spinning so fast its hand won't be visible.

I'm still not a fan of vampire super speed.

I am not a fan of the super speed either...just glad they don't shoot fire out of their eyes or fly. :lol:
I always thought teleporting like Nightcrawler from the X-Men would suit vamps on this show more than superspeed.

Also the new vamps can't act...that girl is awful and so were both of the guys. I did like the one vamp chick who Damon killed.

Tonights episode was ok, next weeks looks better...I was hoping for more in this one though.
 
VD is one of my guilty pleasures. I didn't want to watch this show, but I gave it a chance and it was surprisingly not bad. I liked Damon quite a bit, and the show has some dark areas that I hadn't expected. And the women, particularly Elena and Bonnie are, are hot. Though I am forced to agree with Jetfire in that Jasmine Guy has not aged all that well, which is a surprise. I had such a crush on her when she was on A Different World.
 
I've never seen this show (though I have been curious about it), but I'll probably tune in now that Melinda Clarke is doing some episodes. Been a fan of hers for years....
 
I've been watching the show since it started and I'm really enjoying it. Dobrev is absolutely stunning, Somerhalder is just so damn entertaining, and even Wesley has been surprisingly good.
 
I watched the first two episodes and they bored me so much I feel alseep durring both... but I do wonder, does the show get better? Perhaps I should give it another try, or it is too much like Twilight??

I don't think it is like Twilight...and it has picked up alot since the first 2 episodes...give it another try. :)

Tonights episode was ok...kinda funny. Pearl(Kelly Hu) is fierce and the girl playing Anna(Malese Jow) is cute...starting to grow on me now. Caroline(Candice Accola) is annoying...hoping her character develops more or she gets eaten. :lol:
Next week looks good.
 
I still admire the show's Kevin Williamsony lack of decent parental units.

Damon is the show's anti-hero...it's a little absurd, since he like killed a person every episode last fall.

I really enjoy this show. definitely am looking forward to season two Nina Dobrev would be a good GBOW candidate.
