The Vampire Diaries - Season 3 - Discussion

I will say that CA sold Caroline's grief over Tyler possibly being 6 feet under.

It was sweet to see Rebecca and Elijah act like family for 5 seconds.

Is Matt ding dong dead?

Does Damon now have the indestructible-original-killing stake?

Last night's ep just showed why no one lets Matt and Jeremy make the plans.

I haven't been watching - did Ric die for real this time?

That would make sense, because his new CW series has been picked up. Matt will be going up against serial killer Robert Knepper on Cult.

Should be tons 'o fun, and I suspect will become more of a Supernatural-style outlier on the network rather than a teen-female drama of their usual sort. There's a girl as a "lead character" (who looks like Bonnie's twin) but, poor kid, she's bound to get muscled out of every scene she's in by Perpetually Tortured Matt vs Insanely Charismatic & Evil Robert.

Yes. When Ester turned him into a vampire she used Elena's blood and tied her life to his--so when she died he'd die. Rebekak caused Matt to crash into a river--Stefan shows up and he only had enough time to save one and Elena wanted Matt saved so Stefan obliged.

Elena drowns so when she died Alaric died--later he shows up to Jeremy--who can see ghosts and Alaric is back to his nice self.

So Elena's a vampire and Tyler has been possessed by Klaus? I never thought they'd make Elena a vamp, because doesn't that spoil the whole angst angle? She'll probably start chasing Matt now, or maybe Jeremy. He's not off the menu, because they aren't related by blood and anyway, it's only metaphorical sex.

I might have to start watching this show again. :D

Here's what happens next season: Elena ignores the Salvatore brothers because she's acting like Katherine now. Someone discovers there's a magic doohickey that can turn a vampire back into a human. Stefan and Damon both want to get their hands on that, so they will interest Elena again.

And the wheel spins round and round. What fools these mortals be!

If you read the books she get turned there to. But how does this effect ellana's doplanger status since there both vampires now?

Well...

Bonnie turns 360 all of the sudden out of what -fear of the vamps dying? I feel that the writers have made the poor girl nothing more than a plot device. Bonnie has no real personality. She just does what the script dictates. The writers wanted to "save" Klaus so they make Bonnie this nitwit.

Bonnie is a Simpsons joke come to life "A wizard did it".

Anytime they need to change a plot direction, a witch does it.

They use that crap more than The Secret Circle does and it's only about witches.

Jeremy and Elena are cousins. Her biological father was John Gilbert, brother of Jeremy's dad. And Mystic Falls isn't in Arkansas or West Virginia.

Isn't it in Virginia? Close enuf. :rommie:

Hey didja guys hear The Secret Circle is cancelled? I don't get the sense that the vampire fans went for that one, but just in case...

It was awful.

Deserved to be murdered.

The whole way through, I didn't see a slither of magic they used to problem-solve some wrought, that couldn't have been resolved faster and better with a gun.

Bang!

Seriously, everything would have been over in 5 episodes if they were spies with machine guns and an endless supply of C4, which was a bad joke one of them used to explain to her "boyfriend" once as to why she kept pulling a Clark Kent, disappearing when shit got real.

You've got that backward. Cousin marriage is illegal in both Arkansas and West Virginia. It is perfectly permissible in regular Virginia, where Mystic Falls is located.

That only took a five second google search to find out.

Well, she only just found out that her her uncle is really her father.

But her mother is still her mother right?

So many secrets.

Google loves that you plug them for free. Those states have the hillbilly joke/stereotypes of in-marrying. That's probably why they banned cousin marriages. Killjoy states.

The Secret Circle was cancelled because I watched it. That's probably why Fringe is ending with the next season...but I didn't watch it regularly, so it lasted longer.

And here I thought we were just joking around. Allow me to inaugurate a new shipperdom: Jelena! :rommie:

Jeremy is going to figure out soon if he can or cannot sleep with the dead.

Obviously I mean that his soul bones their soul, not that he's digging up corpses to diddle.

But, once he gets out from under klaus, if he's smart, he's going to go track down all the worlds most gorgeous famous turned tail.

Imagine the list?

Oh.

Here's someone elses list.

13 Dead Actresses We Would Have Boned

hang on.

Can Klaus tap Jeremy's nercomancing powers?

Because really, if he can't turn it off, he's going to lynched by the multitudes unhappy with his work over the centuries.

I don't think jermey is a necromancer. He talks to ghost. He does'nt raise the dead.
Damn shame about secret circle though.

Klaus is possessing Tyler the were-wolf/vamp hybrid, not Jeremy the ghost whispering brother/cousin of Elena.

And Jeremy cannot touch the dead, except that one episode in the previous season where the dead came back for a day.

The dead can sit in moving cars, though and stuff. Don't ask how.

Odd lack of Natalie Wood on that list.

I will check out Matt Davis' show. I will miss watching Alaric die and drink on TVD.

I am pretty sure they are going to find a way to un-vamp Elena, but I could be wrong. What if they pull a Jeremy? Remember when he drank Anna's blood and tried to knock himself off? He had enough blood in his system to heal him but not turn him.

If they don't un-vamp her, that leaves Jeremy, Matt, Former Mayor Lockwood and Former Sheriff Forbes as the last humans standing. Poor Bon does not count because she is all supernatural via the wtichiness.

I wonder who will take Matt Davis' place as a series regular? Right now my money is on Claire Holt as Rebecca.

I hear that the guy playing Elijah now has his own TV series as well.
