Yeah it must have been Spectre. Kirk wouldn't really have time to go that sort of gathering in the other novels except for the Captain trilogy and the first one in that series started on Bajor with Picard.

So... Basically -10 people... I hate temporal mechanics.
But only the ones with names matter. And the uniforms from that time were red so technically they were all redshirts. It's amazing that someone got off that ship alive (or generally survived that time period.)

That's what we saw in The Voyage Home--I always thought Saratoga a Consitution class. I didn't like the Reliant version.
