The USFL is back? Why?

I watched a bit of a game (which I think was taped?) last night. Tampa Bay vs…..someone. Literally empty stadium.

And Curt Menefee doing the play by play. He must have a shitty agent!

Michigan vs. New Jersey was on USA last night. Pittsburgh played Tampa last week.

Brian Scott of the Stars is probably the best QB in the league right now. I doubt he could get an invite to try out for an NFL practice roster.

They should've been a traveling league and removed the city names. New city every week. If the Birmingham game has a huge attendance, then this empty stadium for the other three games is not going to change.

I’m curious as to who the scheduling genius is for the USFL? Open on Easter weekend, Championship game on July 3rd when everyone is going to be going to picnics and fireworks all weekend long.

Birmingham is really taking this COVID thing seriously by requiring 60 feet between fans.

Protective Stadium just has really nice bathrooms. That is where the fans are at whenever we see the stands.

Are there any major XFL and AAF success stories in the NFL? I don't know if Younghoe Koo counts because of how often the NFL discards and shuffles through kickers.

There are a lot more people at the late game but it's still an extremely weak crowd. Maybe the Birmingham fans didn't show up since Houston is the home team. :guffaw:

Kicking continues to be an issue even with the kicking game only ball.

I seriously doubt people showing up for one game is going to cover the cost of the four games going on every weekend.

They seem to be putting a lot of effort into not showing the crowd for this game unless it's the PAT. What was the early game like?

Couldn’t have been more than a couple hundred people, though they seemed to show the stands more. Probably just how the plays developed.

Looking at the week three schedule, there is no televised game listed for NBC, just Peacock. While FOX is airing two Saturday games.

Tampa is getting completely steamrollered by New Orleans.

Kyle Sloter's play as QB confirms what I've felt all along- his former coach at MN was a moron.
