The unofficial Rock Band thread.

And the last 2 oldschool packs will be:

Stone Temple Pilots – “Trippin’ on a Hole in a Paper Heart”

Jimmy Eat World Pack 02

Oh, apparently RBN tracks will still be RB2 compatible for a while...

Totally going for that STP pack. Man, I'm gonna be spending a bunch of money on RB in the near future!

Yes, some people got the game early, due to stupid retailers...

Granted I don't have it yet, but I'm a little disappointed by Rock Band so far. Sounds like they removed Score Duel, which was always a fun distraction for me. You can't do Breakneck Speed in practice mode rendering it pretty useless for anyone who uses that option in the regular game. No Squier guitar for months, making the keyboard the only real selling feature out of the gate for me. I'm not going to shell out the money for the guitar with buttons in the meantime as it's not cheap.

Some of the upcoming DLC sounds good at least.

There is some kind of Score Duel...
Make a setlist, play it and see if your (online) friends can beat the score...

I pre-ordered my copy yesterday (I wanted to Gamestop "Talking Heads" track) and picked up the cymbal expansion set. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but it seems to be pretty quality.

This is actually a bit exciting as there is a new instrument to play now. I think it took me a week to go to Expert Guitar on the original GH and a month or two for drums on RB. I wonder how long it will take me to get to Expert Pro-Keys? Probably a few months even though I do have a little piano experience.
