I've been gone at Army basic training and AIT for the last 7 months, and finally got home 2 days ago. Sat down to play some RB2... I was bored after like 10 songs. That's not good.
Ahh, well, they've charted a few other big songs on RBN as well. I suppose they're the most populist though.
I just wonder what will happen though - going through RBN means your song will hit the store faster (if at all, since they seem to be picky) but you will make less money. It's a trade off for sure.
In addition, a previously unreleased single, "Valleys of Neptune," from a new CD of the same name, will be made available as DLC. So, not only will you try to play Jimi Hendrix solos in Rock Band, you'll play one you've never heard before. Good luck with that! "It's a whole new level of difficulty unto itself," MTV Games' Paul DeGooyer said. The thing about these tracks is if you're a Hendrix fan you know that really what powered that vibe is that he kind of just closed his eyes and flowed from his fingers, and we really tried very hard, especially on the expert level, to recreate that effect."
Honestly I've still been waiting for foreign language songs to hit either platform for ages. Of course Rock Band Japan/Asia has been cancelled or whatever, but there's no reason why some dudes can't just cheaply put their songs up on the network and hope for the best.
Janie Hendrix, in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, revealed that she has let Jimi Hendrix's works to be used for a Rock Band game to be released later in 2010;[28][29] Harmonix later clarified that this content is not for dedicated standalone game.[30] It was revealed in March 2010 that Harmonix and MTV Games had reached an exclusive licensing agreement to release several albums for the Rock Band series, starting with Axis: Bold as Love in late March 2010, in conjunction with re-released remasters of these albums by the label, Experience Hendrix. There is also an option for Harmonix to utilize a Hendrix avatar within the series, leaving open the possibility of a Hendrix-centric title
I hope they just keep it as DLC. No reason they can't have a download of the character/avatar.
At Harmonix's PAX East 2010 panel, five Rock Band designers answered questions from the audience for "An Awkward Hour" with one major stipulation: No questions about Rock Band 3. However, when an audience member inquired whether Green Day: Rock Band songs would still have harmonies when imported into RB2, Harmonix Project Lead Chris Foster began listing off the games with harmony support. "We've said Rock Band 3 would have harmonies already, right?" Foster asked his fellow panelists, who responded with a booming, "No!"
My exposure to Coheed and Cambria is limited, but I enjoyed that previous song they had... was it in RB1?
