The Undiscovered Country apocryphal?

Okay, fine...poorly written, poorly executed. Ignored established Trek lore (Klingon blood is suddenly bright pink? News to TNG). Trite scripting and an overly dependent concept based on the political situation of the day (making it immediately dated and disposable).

In Trek V we were chums with the Klingons...now we're bitter enemies again? This movie was TEH SUXOR! And it had the stink of Nick Meyer all over it. How many movies has he directed again? He got kinda lucky with Khan. He did NOT recapture it with VI.

He directed nine movies.

As for TFF: Don't we all wish that had never happened?
Not all theatrical...and not all successful. In fact, very LITTLE success over all.

There is nothing to laugh about.
He is still writing and also producing.

Did you ever SEE that abomination?!? It was horrid BEFORE he was ever associated with Trek! A totally inaccurate rip-off of a (TV) movie.

Utter shit.

His only plus is the Seven Percent Solution and MAYBE Time After Time. But beyond that? TOTAL HACK and worthless, talentless shit.

Which TV-movie did the TV-movie The Day After rip-off?

Any and all such hackfests that came before it.

And then it (most unscientifically) puked on the facts of what would REALLY happen in such a circumstance (which, by the way, was the original SELLING POINT of the thing). Badly acted, badly directed. Complete dross in 1982 and in 2008.

Oh, just shut the fuck up, already.
Your hatred for this man is unbearable.

This movie was extremely well received, earned Emmy awards (also one for directing) and is still as relevant now as it was then.

Oh, stop...it ripped off a lot of TV-movies ranging from "Death Race 2000" to "Paradise Alley" and everything in between. WATCH THE THING...it flaunts scientific knowledge right in your damn nose!

Unless you'd rather just suck down shit which a lot of people here are prone to do anyway!

:wtf:

Just shut up now, man... save some face.

They had to use pink blood for the Klingon in order to get a "PG" rating.
The pink blood was to illustrate the differences between "us" and "them".

Ditto the tear-ducts, the lack of table manners, the differing anatomy, and so on.

Ah, so it was somehow important to make the Klingons different than they had been previously established to be. Good plan.

Nah...the Rifftrax guys were right. It's total crap.

It's the director's choice to make his film however he pleases. That the colour of the blood is different to another work of fiction is neither here nor there.

STVI has its share of faults, some of which can be laid at the feet of Nick Meyer. This crap, though, isn't one of them.

This seems to be going nowhere but downhill. Whether there will be warnings for some of you has yet to be determined. In the meantime,

Bite me very much. Thank you, ass. I added an equal amount of substance to the post prior, so FOAD.
Infraction for flaming, comments to PM.

Trolling, here. We'll lump this in with your other warning.

Oh, just shut the fuck up, already.

The STFU wasn't really necessary. I'm feeling charitable tonight, though, so just try to keep it in check next time.
