Something marginally interesting I missed the first time around: the Lexington differs slightly from the Enterprise.

Look at the bow windows...

Interesting.... So how long will we be studying the episode to figure out all the differences?

I don't see any evidence of missing... If the beams are extended to cross the sagittal plane of the ship, they emerge from somewhere very close to the lower dome. Perhaps a bit higher up than usual, but not that much. (On the AICN-only picture, the beams seem to come from left rather than centerline, tho.)

Looks like a perfect fit to me, once you draw in the steep curve from the bottom of that cylinder to the bow of the ship along the sagittal plane.

Me likey what me see! :D

Not perfect, but for Remastered ship effects they're pretty admirable. Can't wait for this one!

No, because the base of that cylinder is roughly where the lower dome is (it's about two bridge widths below the base of the bridge), so it's totally off. The phasers come from just around the lower dome; nowhere near where the ones in this image would emerge.

At least the Remastering team is adhering to the established registry numbers for the other starships as listed in the published books and manuals. They turned out to be canonical numbers after all. ;)

Look just below the Lexingtons bridge and youll see another variation, there's only one light (phaser/torpedo bank?)instead of two between the B/C decks as with the Enterprise.
