The TrekBBS weather report

17 degrees Celsius in The Hague, some wind, sunny. A beautiful early autumn day which I am spending indoors, working. :(

It's Labor Day, meaning all of us Americans are, well, not laboring away at work today!

Back to the pile tomorrow...

Weather gets me excited. Looks like the northeast is gonna get nailed with a big batch of the white stuff.
Isn't it a bit early in the year for snow in those parts? :wtf:

Nevermind...I didn't even think I was that subtle.

:guffaw:

I will confess, it took me a few seconds before I got it, but then I literally laughed out loud. :p

It's in the 40s in the early AM here today. I had the window fan going overnight, and other than the big soft memory foam bed, it feels like I'm camping as it is very cool up there right now.

Time to head back to bed, call the dogs up, and zonk out for a bit.

Yeah, the weather in New England has been absolutely amazing all weekend: beautiful, sunny, dry and warm (but not too hot) during the day, and cool at night. Absolutely perfect weather! I don't want it to end.

And boy am I glad, cuz our AC died Friday night; couldn't have timed that better.

Cloudy and dark, here, with thundershowers randomly appearing and disappearing, as Tropical Storm Hermine barrels towards us. It should be raining off and on for the next three days.

Last summer, we had so little rain, we went on Drought Alert, and weren't allowed to water our lawns except for even numbered days, and only after 7pm. Our yard still went pretty brown.

This year, we've had so much rain, not only is grass nice and green, but I've only watered the front yard about three or four times the ENTIRE Summer.

*Thread necromancy, which should better than opening a new thread*

A nice cold front swept through and gave us a quick downpour today with temperatures in the 70's.

Got some of our hay wet, though. :(

Next week, low 80's and sun.

We were supposed to have strong thunderstorms pass through from a large cell, and I was excited about that since everything around here is brown and dead, we did end up getting rain, but only for about an hour, and only light sprinkles. I'm getting very annoyed with Mother Nature pulling tricks. I mean, that weather system was practically guaranteed, and it dissolved right before it got here.

Tonight in Victoria, BC
Cloudy periods. 60 percent chance of showers this evening. Windy. Low 8°C. (46°F)

If you have a laptop, take it outside and open it up in the rain, making sure you have your internet connection on. I will send you an email and you let the water pour in the email, while I will run a garden hose from my audio/video output, and place it outside. The internet, being a series of tubes, will run that water here (as long as we both have broadband or there might be some backup), thus watering our lawn and making it green instead of smoker's teeth yellow.

Strange combination of weather today: it was frost and clear-ish at 7:00, then turned cludy then foggy at 8:30. The fog lifted in Chico at 1:00 but hadnt lifted elsewhere. The fog is now lifted at my house, but I can still see a fog/haze a mile and a half out my window at 2:40! :wtf:
