Yeah I don't get it either. I assume it's some kind of Trek lit character fight thread or something. The character is actually Idun Asmund from "Reunion".

Ro, while content to appear in TNG, isn't interested in appearing in spin-off material until the novels, which don't require the actor. Thus, Ro doesn't show for the fight and Asmund wins by default. However, she's mistaken for her twin and a squad of Daa'Vit assassins in the crowd take her down. Ro is then declared winner in absentia.

Anwar forms an unprecedented, unthinkable alliance between Niners and Voyagers, sending shockwaves through the BBS. Christopher forms a similar alliance of TOS and TNG. The two coalitions circle uneasily. Anwar might attack, but fears Christopher's carefully-researched refutals. For his part, Christopher is peaceful, but the scientific inaccuracy of Voyager cannot go unchallenged. In the end, Anwar offers "Threshold" as a sacrifice peace offering. Christopher accepts, on the condition that he also get a novel-length version of "Places of Exile". It is agreed, and hostilities are averted.

I still don't get it...
"vs" comparisons seem popular, though they're not worth anything as serious contests, of course. There's never any actual logic behind this sort of thing. It's not a measured or illuminating comparison, it's pure fluff. People just throw out two characters, pieces of equipment, whatever, and then the respondant arbitrarily chooses a "winner". You can justify the choice however you choose, and pick the winner on a whim. I assume Yevetha is just giving us a "game thread" for the lit forum. Some people, though, will need actual structure and genuine basis for comparison before it's in any way fun for them.
Sometimes these things take off, sometimes they don't. Yevetha, one day I'll tell you about First Noname'given and the Ketracel Purple...
