The T'plana-Hath and other visual references

Erm, I hate to nitpick, but what the heck is a 21st century Vulcan scoutship doing on board a late 24th century Romulan vessel??? :wtf:

Maybe its just there as an easter egg for us nerds to find.

Just repeat to yourself "its just a show, I should really just relax".

I assume they might need them for the mining process. Transporting ore and miners back and forth.

It's called an "in-joke." They're made on occasion. For instance, the Millennium Falcon was amongst the Federation starships doing battle with the Borg cube during the Battle of Sector 001 in Star Trek: First Contact. And the original U.S.S. Enterprise has appeared in the far background a number of times in Battlestar Galactica.

Don't take it too seriously. Consider it "non-canon" if you like. :)

TNG was full of that sort of thing -- lots of sly visual gags and references to all sorts of things. A partial list may be found here. There were more in DS9 and Voyager.

I suspect the hand of John Eaves in all this! He loved peppering stuff in ENT with various little Easter Eggs:

I strongly suspect that he wasn't the only "guilty" party.

The T'plana-Hath Vulcan lander from First Contact has indeed made it into the movie as was suspected by many and can be seen on this screenshot:

(look top middle and bottom left, amongst others)

Countless drinks and food from various episodes and movies, like Jestral tea, Mareuvian tea, Prometheus nectar and prune juice (a warrior's drink).

Cool!

And a picture of an Egg McMuffin!

And the neat thing is, the hangar bay with the Jellyfish and the Vulcan landers was all filmed inside the TARDIS. Wondrous machine, that blue box...

So while looking at a mining ship that has been enhanced by Borg technology, thus turning it into an Octopus that so happens to have a drill that can cut straight into a planet's core and then drop funky liquid that creates a black hole thereby destroying the planet, you're distracted by the presence of a 300 year old scoutship within its hangar?

Mickey: What's a horse doing on a spaceship?
Doctor: Mickey, what is pre-revolutionary France doing on a spaceship? Get a little perspective!
