The Titan Competition

I'm seeing the Titan pop up in a lot of books I'm reading now.

I'm not a big fan of the winning design looks a but like a rework of the akira class.

Anyone have any links to the other entries?

do a search on here, the other top few entries are in the results thread. frankly, they're varying levels of crap. several look more like 25th century ships than 24th.

People were always saying that Archer's Enterprise looked like an Akira class.

I like the Titan design. I've always wanted to see a Sovereign-style take on the Miranda/Nebula class frame. It fits the design lineage nicely.

^exactly, it fits the design lineage far better than many other entries and most importantly took note of one of the key design notes: it was a type that predated the DW and was took out and dusted off after the war. too many of the others looked too advanced.
