Spoilers The thing in bay 12

I was not big fan of 1701D when tng started but enjoyed it , but to see her again and the bridge just made me appreciate how beautiful a ship she was, i take it that geordi liked season2 bridge as this was his first as chief engineer ,it is still a unique bridge design .
I wasn't a fan of the external ship design at the time, but it did grow on me over the years since Enterprise ended.

However, I have always loved the Ds interiors. The bridge especially. I basically grew up wanting to live in that ship.

Perheaps we even see a saucer seperation in the final battle. The Battle-Bridge should be easy to rebuild and is not so expensive.
I've thought about that as well, and I would love to see it, but I see two problems.

1. They probably need more crew to use both bridges.

2. At this point, when you separate the Saucer section now, the Stardrive section is no longer the Enterprise really.

Good point !

Maybe we get instead Lower Decks reference :D

Earth- Spacedock

Sir, a starship is coming in.

CMO: I'm not blind lieutenant, and its more then one.

Sir, it's the Enterprise!

CMO : YES Lieutenant, i can see that. But this time it's no relief.

No sir, it's another Enterprise.

fanfare....

I see people complaining about the bridge being too yellow. For me personally, yellow works. It evokes a halcyon feeling - like the crew are sailing into the sunset. YMMV.

Can someone tell me why LCARS colors look so season 1 and 2, so green ??? Bcs from season 3 to 7 it looks more like yellow and blue. I don't like it. They shoud do LCARS colors 3-7 season like they did LCARS on that medical ship of Beverly and Jack.

They spend god knows how much time and money in building a completely new bridge for the Enterprise-D, for what in the end will basically be less than an hour of screen time.....

and you complain about the color of the LCARS......?????

Ok.

Or they send the engines in to attack the Borg and escape on the saucer. Excellent way to redeem Generations.

They might even repeat the antimatter spread tactic they did in TNG to rescue Locutus.
Given that this was already used as a technique, the Borg would be aware of it... but its also been decades since they used it as a tactic, so it could still prove to be effective (at least as a diversion).

But, its also possible they won't be separating the ship and could use a different tactic.

Ok.

Geordi actually couldn't source all the LCARS panels he needed for this project so the ones in that photo are actually LCORS panels. He got a good deal from Quark.

Problem number 1: The ship can easily be run with automation... you probably only need Worf on the battle bridge along with someone to mane the helm. Perhaps Troi?

Problem number 2: Geordi probably reprogrammed the stardrive section so that it identifies as the ENT-D... and he might have also renamed the stardrive exterior to also match 1701-D (it would make sense since those are easiest things to do and mostly cosmetic).

He had 20 odd years to do that... and its actually surprising he didn't push the drones to fix the port nacelle and polish/upgrade the hull.

Replicators anyone?
The schematics are in the database. He'd have no problem replicating replacement parts. Any potential colour changes could be attributed to restoration and his own personal style in that case... neither of which are a big deal.

Seriously, have you met Star Trek fans?

....sigh

There's a nice detail about the LCARS - they use modern LED lighting, so the graphics themselves are slightly altered to give the impression they have that 1980s neon look.

Maybe they overdid it a bit compared with the look in later seasons. But it really *feels* right to me.

When recreating the originals in real life, its possible the replica will be somewhat different (either due to working with limited information or very low resolution shots, along with the lighting - all of which would have been affected by the technology of the day)... but honestly, the differences in question do not change much of anything since the recreation is pretty much on spot.

There were subtle differences in Generations movie along with the inclusion of side stations on the bridge... which I do not recall people complaining about.
Also, changes crept up on the bridge over the initial 7 years of TNG due to how the production team kept improving and changing things.

Again, with this level of recreation, any potential differences aren't a big deal as the whole thing 'feels' pretty much on spot as is.

This seems like a Tuvix version of a starship to me. Entercuse or Syraprise.
I wonder if the TNG bridge was a different bridge module to the Generations bridge and they put the original module back in. Or did Geordi grab another bridge module. Or take all the Generations stations out and reset it back to the show version.

Do you guys remember Stage 9, that fan project that was recreating the Enterprise-D in the Unreal engine that CBS C&D? This was posted on their discord server in the ‘Stage 9 nostalgia’ channel. That user Scragnog was one of the lead devs on the project.

I don’t think we’re getting an officially licensed revival of the project or anything. I believe one or two of their team works at the Roddenberry Archive, so it could be related to that. But the -D returns in Pic S3 and then suddenly something cool is happening connected to the project? Hmm

Well I knew the honeymoon would end. Surprised it was this soon.
It's shocking to me how much my mind papers over these things. I didn't even notice.
THAT SAID - I feel like I vaguely remember that there was something in the early days about the person working at the console can adjust the settings to their preference. (Am I misremembering?) In which case, you can chalk it up to "That's the default, Data hasn't put in his preferences yet."

They were making a joke, Jesus.

Look who posted it. That should answer your question. All they ever do is nitpick, nitpick, nitpick and complain.
