Spoilers The thing in bay 12

I think it's just the camera angle that makes it seem like the plaque is much higher up than it was in TNG.

Yes, SPS has shrunk a bit, it's a natural event, plus he's extremely upright in the TNG shot and in the Picard shot he's hunched slightly...again..the man is 82 years old vs 52 years old he was in the TNG shot.

Yeah -- men shrink after 50. It's a well known fact. Not a production error.

In the 4k preview for E10 of the Enterprise approaching Jupiter there is the flyby of the ship and you can see into the observation lounge/conference room.

The FX team has modeled the models of the Enterprises into the wall.

In the below capture you can see, faintly, the CVN-65 tower on the model..it's in the correct position. You can also see the "Enterprise-C" concept model version also, the nacelles to be exact.

The attention to detail on this 3d model is stunning and really shows the power of CGI vs physical models

So nice of Ron Moore to lend Geordi those ship models.

Incidentally, there's one thing I'd love to see that we never really got a chance to see on TNG for budgetary reasons: the main shuttlebay.

Just once, I'd like to see those big doors roll open and maybe even launch a runabout for us Niners.

However, I was disappointed they didn't show shrubbery when the arboretum windows came in view.

pretty much. What bugs me is that automation capabilities of a starship were never really fully taken advantage of in Trek. Its there, and it can be used in a ridiculous number of ways, but its as if the crews are unaware or unwilling to use the technology like that.
For example?

That can be easily explained by going all the way back to Captain Dunsel.

LoL! I seriously doubt they said that.
The beard guy did, I saw it myself after people started mentioning it and someone posted a link. "Hope he's dead in a ditch somewhere". Everyone can watch whatever they like, but know what you're watching - I always open Universo videos instead of scifinews, because they show the same stuff but without intrusive ads for their own channel, for example.

He was probably in one of his depressive states. I’m sure he doesn’t mean it. No one would want the great creator of the Dark Universe dead.
I watched their 40 minute video on the Enterprise D comparisons. That was rather interesting.

There's one big difference between the bridges: The TNG consoles all had an 'eggshell' texture, and the PIC ones are completely smooth

Can someone tell me why LCARS colors look so season 1 and 2, so green ??? Bcs from season 3 to 7 it looks more like yellow and blue. I don't like it. They shoud do LCARS colors 3-7 season like they did LCARS on that medical ship of Beverly and Jack.

This music from 1:20 to 1:50. Amazing. Was it somewhere before?

I was not big fan of 1701D when tng started but enjoyed it , but to see her again and the bridge just made me appreciate how beautiful a ship she was, i take it that geordi liked season2 bridge as this was his first as chief engineer ,it is still a unique bridge design .

Perheaps we even see a saucer seperation in the final battle. The Battle-Bridge should be easy to rebuild and is not so expensive.
