Spoilers The thing in bay 12

Looks like 10-Forward is in the right place (and 9-Forward is more-or-less identical except the windows are upside-down). Seems to have the lit Enterprise-E conference table. I’m not complaining.

This is why I love window-boxes.
I think it was in the TNG novel where Batesman was the first commander of the E-E that said that the E’s table was a lit upgrade of the same one from the D, still having scratches.

That works for me

I know someone mentioned these comparisons already, but I forgot if they showed both the old and new pictures, and I can't find them anymore.
If not, here they are. If so, here they are again :D

The need to sell Picard's ready room painting as a poster. I would buy 50 of them.

But they still used it in Enterprise in the CGI era, I don't particullarly like the "Starwars Hyperspace Dropout" that they are using.. I'd rather the slowdown of old ( and warp stars..)

I actually really like the warp drop out as it is now. It was always weird to me in TNG how it was kind of slow and anticlimactic. If memory serves, there was an episode of DS9 that first changed the dropout...can't remember which one bit I think it involved changeling Bashir trying to blow up a sun. Anyway...that change was essentially a reverse of the go to warp effect: flash of light, ship stretches in and comes to a stop. I loved it! They didn't keep using it though. The way they do it now looks more "real".

I just hope a lot of the cast, including the guest stars, got a chance to visit the Bridge set.
I can imagine Michelle Forbes tearing up as she sat at her old console.

Not..really. Michelle isn't quite on the same level as the main cast. She got to visit with SPS and Jon Frakes for a while, I think, and went to breakfast with them, etc. but that was about it.

It’s a real testament to Andy Probert’s design abilities that the D and the main bridge set still look futuristic and contemporary 36 years after they were designed. TOS stuff looked dated in less than 10 years.

I think it's just because of what was foreseen as real life interfaces.

The TOS, TMP and such bridge look very dated. The TFF and TUC bridges look okay still as they're actually not that far off what we have right now.

I get it, the Enterprise D was the strongest ship at the early season in Star Trek TNG. So she has better chance to fight the Borg than the other relics in the ship museum. But then, how can a ship with the size of Battleship can fight in 100% efficiency with only their high rank officers alone? In TNG, we all know that the Enterprise D has optimal crews of 1000 or more people. Without them, what kind of performance that this gigantic things can do in battle?

Ok, you can said that they man it with drones and another skeleton crews.

But if Starfleet has already has the capability to man their ships with only drones and skeleton crews. and they can fight in 100% efficiency, then what is the need of human crews to begin with? Doesn't it mean they just add more risk to the lives who are actually not needed to the ship?

They should add some info to this scene; like Geordi, as the commander of Ship Museum has ordered his underlings to man the ship with them.

They missed the opportunity to bring back all the Next Gen extras, and have the D commanded by its entire geriatric crew. Would pay good money for Frakes Chasing Tracy Down the Corridor: Part II.
